πŸ¦–πŸŒΏ Dinosaur Adventures! πŸŒΏπŸ¦•

This week our Windsor explorers stepped back in time for a roaringly good Dinosaur week!

The children enjoyed a variety of dinosaur themed experiences, including digging for fossils, creating dinosaur art, exploring sensory activities like clay, and learning fun facts about these fascinating prehistoric creatures through stories.

There were plenty of dinosaur roars, exciting adventures, and lots of smiles! πŸ¦•

At Noah’s Ark Learning Academy, we love creating engaging learning experiences that spark wonder and encourage children to explore, discover, and learn through play.

What a dino-mite week we had! πŸ¦–

πŸ‹ When children give us lemons... we make lemonade! πŸ‹

A big thank you to one of our wonderful Windsor families for bringing in fresh lemons from theire home.

The children had so much fun squeezing, smelling, tasting, and turning them into delicious lemonade!

There were plenty of sour faces, lots of giggles, and a wonderful sensory experience along the way. πŸ’›πŸ˜†πŸ‹

We love when families share their interests, resources, and experiences with us, helping to enrich the children's learning in a meaningful way.

πŸŽ‰βœ¨ Drumroll please… βœ¨πŸŽ‰

Tonight is a throwback post to our superstars from our Windsor services, who took out Educators of the Month for April! πŸŒŸπŸ‘

πŸ’« Ms Steph from Macquarie Street, who has been an incredible support to our whole team across all rooms, always happy to step in wherever needed, to support the room or do more hours. No matter how busy the days and weeks may be, Ms Steph always arrives with a smile and a positive attitude that brightens the centre.

πŸ’« Ms Megan our Church Street centre manager was voted by her team members for being the most selfless and supportive Centre Manager. Always lending a helping hand on the floor when needed, along with keeping the centre running smoothly each day.

To say THANK YOU, to both these amazing ladies they received a little gift, as a small token of how much we appreciate everything they bring to our centre 🎁

Help us celebrate these two amazing ladies ❀️

🐝 World Bee Day Windsor 🐝

What started as a simple playdough bee provocation quickly grew into a full day project led by the children's curiosity and creativity.

After making their own playdough bees, the children asked if they could take them home. This inspired the next stage of our learning journey as they created and decorated beehives, painted hive structures, and carefully glued in honeycomb pieces. To ensure everyone took home their own special creation, the children enthusiastically practised writing their names on their work.

Throughout the day, we explored the fascinating world of bees through tuff tray investigations, honey tasting experiences, art and discussions about bee facts. We discovered how bees help plants grow by pollinating flowers and learnt why they are such an important part of our environment.

The children's interest and questions guide the learning, transforming a simple provocation into a rich, hands on project filled with creativity, literacy, sensory exploration, and new knowledge about these amazing little insects.

Road safety learning at our centre goes far beyond just Bike Day 🚦🚲
Through a range of age-appropriate experiences, children of all ages are developing important skills while learning about staying safe on and around the road. Life skills they can take with them for years to come.
From strengthening drawing skills and pencil grip through road-themed art activities, understanding cause and effect with car wheel painting and problem solving with street sign puzzles, practising throwing skills by aiming bean bags at traffic light colours, every experience is designed to support learning through play.
Children also explore colour recognition, colour matching, creativity, and imagination as they create their own road safety games and dramatic play experiences 🚸✨
It’s wonderful to see our little learners building confidence, coordination, and awareness about the road and world around them while having so much fun along the way!

Beep beep! 🚦🚲
Our Windsor children had an amazing time celebrating Road Safety week from the 11-14th of May! The children were invited to bring in their bikes and scooters, and our educators transformed the playground into a fun mini road track complete with street signs, crossings, and plenty of learning opportunities πŸšΈπŸ›‘
From practising stopping at signs to learning how to safely cross the road, the children explored important road safety skills through hands-on play and adventure. There were lots of smiles, excitement, and future safe riders in action! 🚴✨

At NALA Windsor, we believe children learn best through meaningful conversations, stories, empathy, and connection, which is why our learning about Anzac Day is not limited to just one day of the year.

In a gentle and age appropriate way, we introduce preschool children to the concepts of remembrance, courage, kindness, community helpers, and caring for others.

Through stories, art, music, discussions, dramatic play, poppy crafts, and exploring family and community connections, children begin to understand that Anzac Day is about remembering the people who helped protect and serve others.
We focus on values children can relate to:
🌺 Friendship
🌺 Helping others
🌺 Bravery
🌺 Peace
🌺 Gratitude
🌺 Community

Our goal is not to teach children about war in a frightening way, but rather to nurture respect, compassion, and awareness of the sacrifices made for others.
Lest We Forget 🌺

β€œAt the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”

Today, our Centre Manager and educator from Windsor, alongside two of our enrolled children, attended the ANZAC Day dawn service and had the honour of laying a wreath on behalf of Noah’s Ark Learning Academy.

In the quiet of the dawn, we reflected on courage, sacrifice, and the importance of remembering those who served.

We are so proud to see our youngest community members taking part in such a meaningful tradition.

β€œLest we forget”

Thank you Vintage Wildflowers your wreath was unique and beautiful πŸ’œ
