The review of this topic was done in 2020 when I joined Muca's lab as a research assistant. That was the time when I started to learn how to publish papers in international journals. During the 1.5 years, I learned a lot of tips on how to publish papers and what are the differences between thesis and journal articles. For instance, you don't need to review boring stories in journal articles. Also, they don't need tables with detailed results in the main manuscript. Put them in the appendices or in the supplement document. After many rounds of revisions, the first part of the outcome of my involved project has finally been published.

I am not sure if doing research can feed myself in the future, but this is quite an interesting job.

Though this topic is far from my current research field, it is worth documenting.

Environment of Planning B 好像有神奇的魔法，在我頭無可投的時候就會伸出援手。上線後他們沒有通知，是ORCID通知新紀錄才發現的。可惜Environment of Planning B 最近在期刊評分指標上表現的比較不好，究竟該不該追著這些指標跑呢? 據說學校的QS排名是按照Scopus Index, 學校甚至還會給發錢給指標前10%/1%的文章來刺激提升by subject的排名呢！

這篇文章最初在處理資料的時候，那時2023年初我還不相信chatGPT的Coding魔法，每一條code都是網路上一步一步的查。最為一個Python新手，真的是搞了非常久。開始唸博士班之前，我只會print("Hello World")跟加減乘除，從來沒有真正使用來處理資料。學習新東西，還是有要明確的任務才會有進度。

今年初，我嘗試讓chatGPT幫我生出code架構，再慢慢依照需求調整，一切都變快了。這個時代有很多輔助工具協助我們提升工作效率，但工作好像沒有變輕鬆，因為這個社會對你的期望產出就會更高。期待新的分析明年也有機會發出來，讓爆棚的運氣繼續吧。

這是我第一次將volumetric urbanism放在題目中，也是未來論文中重要的元素。第一次做三維的土地使用變遷，還有很多需要修正與校正之處。

Special Issue 有時候很快，有時候很久。曾經我覺得投Special Issue好像比較容易上，可能因為它有特定主題下數量的壓力。但也不一定，這一篇每個時程的等待時間都是三週（包含修正、審查、修正、製作）；但另一篇投了同一個期刊的另一個Special Issue，在四個月後，得到了reviewer 2 的 reject。其中第一個評論就是認為此篇文章不屬於特刊範疇。

2023年5月回去台灣參加地理系研討會曾經展示過部分的內容，但報告的有點落漆，經過了一年的來回修改，幸運地讓我撿到第一次一作 Top 10% 的期刊。

當然得感謝我的指導讓我可以隨心所欲地寫文章，有時候在文章還沒寫出來之前，我覺得很難進行什麼進度報告。適合自己的指導好像更重要。希望明年的這個時候我還是這個想法。
