As part of National Science Week and a grant project with Urban Green Sydney, our EPS students had the incredible opportunity to experience indoor urban farming right in the heart of Barangaroo!

Nestled inside a car park, this thriving microgreen farm showed students just how innovative and sustainable food production can be. Students explored how microgreens are grown, tasted a variety of fresh greens and even planted their own.

The learning doesn’t stop there — students are bringing a plant home to continue growing and caring for themselves!

A huge thank you to Urban Green Sydney and National Science Week for providing our students with such a unique, hands-on science experience. 🌱

2/1 have been learning all about arrays! Arrays aren’t just something we find in maths — they’re everywhere around us!

Our students have been busy spotting arrays on the playground, standing in arrays themselves, and even discovering them in their paint sets. What a great way to bring maths to life and show that learning can happen anywhere!

This week would not be complete without celebrating our incredible principal, Ms Psarras, on Primary Principals Day.

Her unwavering dedication, compassion and leadership inspire excellence in our students, staff and wider school community every single day. She leads with heart, high expectations and an unwavering belief that every child can succeed.

We can’t tell you enough how much excellence happens at Eastlakes Public School every single day!

Today, our students made us incredibly proud at the Regional Premier’s Spelling Bee.

🌟 Hasan placed in the Top 4 Junior Regional Finalists.
🏆 Cheriya was crowned the Senior Regional Champion and will now progress to the next round of the competition!

We are beyond proud of the dedication, resilience and confidence these students showed on the spelling stage. Their success is a reflection of the hard work they put in, the support of their teachers and families, and the culture of high expectations we strive to create every day.

Because at EPS, we don’t just celebrate excellence during Public Education Week… we inspire excellence every single day.
