What a fantastic day it was for our year 4 students representing Kingscliff Public School at the Tweed Hockey Gala Day in Murwillumbah last Friday!

Our students showed great sportsmanship, encouragement and teamwork throughout the day. Their skills continued to grow with every game, with plenty of great goals, strong attacking play and determined defence.

We are so proud of the way they represented KPS!

To celebrate Book Week, we are collecting pre-loved books in good condition. Families are invited to bring book donations to the school Library throughout the week. Books that would make great additions to our Library collection will be kept for our students to enjoy, while the remaining books will be donated to Papua New Guinea, giving them the opportunity to be read and loved all over again. πŸ“–β€οΈ
Last donations will be accepted this Friday.

🌿🐨 Green Day at KPS! 🐨🌿

What an inspiring day at Kingscliff Public School as we celebrated Green Day and came together to support a very special cause.

Our students wore green and brought along a gold coin donation to help us β€œadopt” Bluey the Koala, who is currently being cared for at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our school community, we raised an amazing $409.25! These funds will go towards Bluey’s needs and care, helping to provide vital resources for his wellbeing. πŸ’šπŸ¨

A very special acknowledgement goes to Isla, Lila and Margaux, our Green Day Founders, who came up with this wonderful initiative and started Green Day last year. It is fantastic to see their idea continue to grow and make a difference. 🌱

We were also very fortunate to welcome Sarah and Renata from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary as our special visitors. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion for wildlife conservation with our students.

A huge thank you to Mrs Kershler and Miss B for all the planning, organisation and enthusiasm that made today possible.

What a wonderful example of student leadership, environmental awareness and our school community working together to make a difference.

πŸ’šπŸ¨ $409.25 raised for Bluey! What an incredible effort. Well done, KPS! πŸ¨πŸ’š

Stage 2 Camp Fun!

What an amazing time Stage 2 had at the Tallebudgera Outdoor and Environmental Education Centre.

The students had a great time canoeing, orienteering, playing beach games, completing team challenges and building catapults. The high ropes course was definitely a highlight, with students showing plenty of courage and cheering each other on.

It was wonderful to see everyone having fun, trying new things and making special memories with their friends.

A big thank you to our fantastic Stage 2 team, parent helpers and wonderful SLSOs for helping make camp such a fun and memorable experience!

Congratulations to our talented Kingy Conquerors debating team, who today won the first round of the Regional Knockout stage of the Premier’s Debating Challenge today against Ocean Shores Public School.

Our debaters presented well-crafted arguments, delivered thoughtful rebuttals and demonstrated outstanding teamwork and confidence. We are incredibly proud of their preparation, composure and skillful debating.

Well done, Kingy Conquerors! We wish you every success in the next round!

πŸŒŸπŸ‰ OZTAG SUPERSTARS! πŸ‰πŸŒŸ

A HUGE congratulations to our 26 superstar Year 3 students who backed up after an already exhausting few days at CAMP to compete in the Oztag Tournament at Ballina yesterday, Thursday 27 August! πŸ’™πŸ’›

And WOW - these kids were incredible! πŸ™Œ

We had two boys’ teams and one girls’ team, and despite often coming up against much older opponents, you would never have known it! Our students played with determination, enthusiasm and plenty of heart. Both the girls and boys narrowly missed out on making the finals, but the improvement across all three teams throughout the day was absolutely incredible. πŸ‰πŸ‘

The best part was watching the way they worked together as a team, encouraged one another, celebrated each other’s successes and just kept giving it their all. We could not have been prouder of the way they represented our school! πŸ’™

A MASSIVE shout-out also needs to go to our superstar parent helpers - Krystell, Leah and Belinda. 🌟 The day simply would not have been possible without you! From helping with transport and setting up shade structures, to coaching our teams, cheering on the kids and just generally being awesome human beings - THANK YOU! How lucky are we to have such wonderful people supporting our kids! πŸ₯°

And a very special shout-out to our superstar SLSO, Teneale! πŸ’› We are so incredibly lucky to have such a caring, compassionate and thoughtful person supporting our students. Teneale is always there encouraging our kids, looking out for them and making sure everyone feels supported and included. Thank you, Teneale, for everything you do! 🌟

We also had a very special familiar face out on the fields -Xavier, one of our past Year 6 students, who was there umpiring! πŸ‰πŸ‘ It was absolutely wonderful to see Xavier giving back, helping out and supporting our wider community. What an awesome role model for our younger students and a great example of what it means to stay connected and contribute to your community. We loved seeing you out there, Xavier! πŸ’™πŸ’›

A fantastic day, lots of laughs, plenty of Oztag and some very tired Year 3 legs by the end of it! πŸ˜‚

Well done to our 26 superstars -you represented our school beautifully and should be incredibly proud! πŸ‰πŸŒŸπŸ’™πŸ’›

🌟 🌟 A big thank you to Mrs Gray & Miss T for their enthusiasm and positive role modelling at the OzTag carnival today! I felt proud to receive a call from the principal at Maclean PS, who shared that during a game, even though our team was ahead, there was a scoring mix-up. Instead of pushing the advantage, Mrs Gray and Miss T showed incredible sportsmanship by allowing Maclean PS to play on πŸ†β€οΈ

It was wonderful to hear not only about the conduct of our staff but also the way they supported our students and those from other schools. The character and kindness shown today set a fantastic example for everyone. Thank you, Miss T and Mrs Gray!
