ππ OZTAG SUPERSTARS! ππ
A HUGE congratulations to our 26 superstar Year 3 students who backed up after an already exhausting few days at CAMP to compete in the Oztag Tournament at Ballina yesterday, Thursday 27 August! ππ
And WOW - these kids were incredible! π
We had two boysβ teams and one girlsβ team, and despite often coming up against much older opponents, you would never have known it! Our students played with determination, enthusiasm and plenty of heart. Both the girls and boys narrowly missed out on making the finals, but the improvement across all three teams throughout the day was absolutely incredible. ππ
The best part was watching the way they worked together as a team, encouraged one another, celebrated each otherβs successes and just kept giving it their all. We could not have been prouder of the way they represented our school! π
A MASSIVE shout-out also needs to go to our superstar parent helpers - Krystell, Leah and Belinda. π The day simply would not have been possible without you! From helping with transport and setting up shade structures, to coaching our teams, cheering on the kids and just generally being awesome human beings - THANK YOU! How lucky are we to have such wonderful people supporting our kids! π₯°
And a very special shout-out to our superstar SLSO, Teneale! π We are so incredibly lucky to have such a caring, compassionate and thoughtful person supporting our students. Teneale is always there encouraging our kids, looking out for them and making sure everyone feels supported and included. Thank you, Teneale, for everything you do! π
We also had a very special familiar face out on the fields -Xavier, one of our past Year 6 students, who was there umpiring! ππ It was absolutely wonderful to see Xavier giving back, helping out and supporting our wider community. What an awesome role model for our younger students and a great example of what it means to stay connected and contribute to your community. We loved seeing you out there, Xavier! ππ
A fantastic day, lots of laughs, plenty of Oztag and some very tired Year 3 legs by the end of it! π
Well done to our 26 superstars -you represented our school beautifully and should be incredibly proud! ππππ
