Our little Baby Bluebirds have been busy exploring and creating through sensory play! 💙🐦
Yesterday we got hands-on with mouldable sand made from baby rice cereal and coconut oil — squishing, scooping, moulding and discovering different textures. Today the children explored a fresh citrus water tray filled with sliced oranges and lemons 🍊🍋💦
Sensory experiences like these encourage curiosity, creativity, fine motor development and language skills while supporting children to learn through play.
Children are confident and involved learners as they develop curiosity, problem-solving skills and use all their senses to explore and discover the world around them linking to Learning Outcome 4.

Lets have some fun tomorrow!
National Simultaneous Storytime is tomorrow and we will all collectively be reading Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller.
As it is also the start of state of origin we are encouraging a fun dress up day tomorrow dressing up in sports attire.
Come and have some fun with us!
We would like to introduce our new Centre pet, Buzz!
Our Yellow Bumblebee children have been exploring animals and in particular birds and so they collectively decided we needed another centre pet. Animals are such a calming and fun addition to any setting and we hope you like him just as much as we do.

Learning outcome 2 - Children are connected with and contribute to their world. Children become socially responsible and show respect for the environment as they care and connect with animals.
This week we have been exploring the EYLF outcome 2 in our Yellow Bumblebee’s room. Children have been able to have many interactions with our first pet brought in. “Granny” is one of Miss Ambers chickens and the children have been able to start to form a bond and learn to care for an animal. We are continuing this interest over the next few weeks as we embed their learning into every day routine.
