The Kindy children are attending our first school assembly for the year next Thursday. We will have a short cameo presenting some of our learning from the term to our school friends. The assembly begins at 12pm in the school hall - we would love for you to come along if you can ☺️

💚 Thank you, Kimba! 💚

We just wanted to take a moment to say a really BIG thank you to our wonderful community for getting behind our recent fundraisers.

Between our Book Week Walk-a-thon, Garage Sale and Bake Sale, we have raised over $1,700 to put towards our outdoor learning environment! 🌿🌻

Every gold coin, baked good, donated item, purchase, helping hand and word of support all adds up — and we are so grateful.

A special thank you to our amazing Governing Council who do so much of the organising, planning and behind-the-scenes magic to make these things happen. We couldn’t do it without you! ❤️

There are some really exciting things happening at Kimba Community Kindergarten, with Rural Care and 3-Year-Old Kindy coming soon. It’s a pretty exciting time for our little Kindy, and we can’t wait to see how our service, our outdoor spaces and our Kindy community continue to grow and evolve.

Thank you for always supporting our Kindy and our children. It really does take a community, and we are very lucky to have ours. 💚

Follow our public Facebook or Instagram page to keep up with everything happening at Kimba Community Kindergarten!

Father’s Day at Kimba Community Kindergarten

On Tuesday, we celebrated Father’s Day with a fun morning on the lawns near the bowls club. Our Kindy and OC children loved spending time with their dads, uncles and granddads, playing bocce, Connect 4, giant Jenga, board games and reading together.

A big thank you to Krystal Dart for donating the bacon, Tayla Bartlett for donating the eggs, and Mel Cliff and Heidi Stokes for donating eggs and helping cook our bacon and eggs for morning tea.

We finished the morning with a Dad Race, with the children cheering on their special person. Luckily, there were no pulled hamstrings or calf injuries.

Thank you to all the dads, uncles and granddads who joined us for this special morning.

A special achievement for a very special educator! Today, Miss Corinne was presented with her 10 years of service certificate from the Department for Education, for her work over the last decade at Kimba Area School and Kimba Community Kindergarten. How lucky are we to have her passion and expertise guiding our town's learners - congratulations Corinne and here's to many more years of your quality education and care 🎉 ⭐ 👏🏻

Working Bee 2026 🐝

A huge thank you to our amazing helpers:

🐝 Jeff, Heidi, Dusty and Chase Stokes
🐝 Miss Charlie
🐝 Emily Ashwood, with some help from Tyler at the end to chop down a few trees
🐝 Miss Sally and Sam
🐝 Bozo, Megan, Alfie and Harry Larwood, who impressively came to the kindy after completing the clubroom clean-up.

🐝🐝🐝 A special mention also goes to Matt May and Georgia Sergejevs, who came over after unloading their own trailer to help unload the kindy trailer at the green waste site.

Thanks to everyone’s hard work, the kindy is looking much cleaner and safer, and we were able to tick off many jobs from our to-do list.
