We had a blast with a sensory tray inspired by "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." The children loved the green-colored spaghetti that looked just like the caterpillar’s body, along with red-colored rice representing a yummy apple. We included chickpeas for a fun crunch, fresh cucumber slices to feel, and an assortment of fruits, such as apples and pears, for them to explore. It was such a joy to see the kids engaged in discovering different textures and colours, all while giggling and having a great time!

In our Infant Room, the children have been actively engaged in learning about diversity and inclusiveness. We have created creative room setups and displays that celebrate different cultures and perspectives, fostering an environment of acceptance and understanding.
To further enrich their experience, we are planning a series of Autumn-themed art and craft activities. These activities will offer children opportunities to explore the beauty of nature during this vibrant season. They will be able to create fall-inspired artwork using leaves, acorns, and other natural materials, allowing them to connect with the changing environment around them. We hope to inspire their creativity while deepening their appreciation for the beauty of Autumn.

We are so excited to share that swimming lessons will be starting in February 2026 for our Mayfield Kilmore children! 🏊‍♀️💦
At Mayfield, we truly believe in supporting our children not just in learning, but in confidence, safety and life skills — and this is exactly what this program offers. Partnering with Kilmore Leisure Centre, our 3 and 4-year-olds will have the chance to take part in swimming program, helping them grow, explore, and feel safe in the water.

As a centre, we are really proud to be able to offer this experience to our families and can’t wait to see our little ones gain new skills and big smiles along the way. 😊

If you’re interested or would like more details, please reach out to me or the team — we’re always here to help.
