Learning to Stay on My Side of the Fence 🛡️
Looking after myself and keeping to my side of the fence during disagreements or challenging interactions has been a big focus for me lately. It's not easy—especially when I feel justified in my opinions! Staying open-minded, allowing others to be themselves, and focusing on my own growth is tough work. Sometimes, I stumble. But with repeated effort, patience, and a deep love for my own well-being and the well-being of those around me, I’m improving. 🌟
In my world, I cross paths with a lot of people—sometimes up to 10,000 souls pass through our property each year. Over time, I’ve come to this conclusion:
🌀 Other people's venom doesn't have to become my poison.
It’s painful when someone’s harsh words or negative energy hits you. I’ve learned the hard way that if I don’t stop, step back, and care for myself immediately, the poison spreads. It seeps into my thoughts, emotions, and actions, leaving me in a worse state. At that point, I’m no good to myself—or anyone else—and I need to reach out for help.
But here’s the thing: I’m curious! 🤔
What tools, practices, or methods do you use to recover from interactions that could throw you off balance?
Let’s share and learn from each other—drop your thoughts below. 💬
