Finally coming back from the land of the dead. I've been sick as a dog.
Last weekend was an absolute emotional roller-coaster but overall had a great time.
First of all, thanks to my my very special friends Goose and Corban for sharing your house with my kids and I. They both loved spending time with you guys.
Thanks Nakia Wright and Benji Wright MTL - MUAY THAI LEAGUE for having us. It was a really fun night. Congratulations on a cracker event.
To my little bro Brodie Stalder , this night will live with me forever. Having the opportunity to do your Mongkol for your final ever fight was such a privilege. From first meeting you as a teen when I lived on the Sunny Coast for a short period, through to developing a genuine friendship over the last 20+ years, being there with your family for the last ride was amazing. You deserve all the love and support that you received on Saturday night.
Getting to jump in the corner with Kru Manop(my Thai father) to help with โสมรัศมี ไชยสุยะ YOKKAO Training Center and Store Chiang Mai was a special experience. Unfortunately coming up short. Western scoring and stadium scoring are so very different and hard for the Thais to adjust to quickly.
I was stoked to get to be there for Jonathan Aiulu rematch for the WBC International belt and what a show he put on for everyone. There was no doubting who won this time. Congratulations my brother.
It was also cool to catch up with so many of my Queensland friends over the weekend. It's been a good few years since I've been to a Queensland fight show.
Ok, time to go back to bed. Still sick as a dog, but on the improve.
