At Kilcoy State School the P&C run the tuckshop, uniform shop and various fundraisers throughout the year. Posts are monitored by volunteers and, as such, may not be monitored 24/7. Welcome to 2025 KSS Families!

Just a quick post to let you all know that the onsite uniform shop will be open on the 20th of January between 10am and 12pm for purchases of uniforms and for QKR collection. The uniform shop is located in our Tuckshop area.

Any QKR orders made between the end of school and this date will be available for pick up on this date.
Any QKR orders made after the 20th will be available for pick up from the Admin Office.

Going forward, until we get a new uniform shop convenor (please send a DM if you're interested), uniforms will be available via QKR only with collection at the office after you've been notified your order is ready.

WHY SHOULD YOU BE INVOLVED IN OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY?

Our students benefit from the efforts we put into providing initiatives and opportunities around the school. The smiles tell us everything! They also feel a great sense of pride and connection knowing that their family is contributing to their school. By becoming a member, you will get to know other families, have a greater understanding of your child’s education, and help make our Kilcoy State School community even better.

We understand that every family is different, and that volunteering can take many forms.
You could:
• Attend a P&C Meeting
• Join the executive committee
• Help with writing grants or other funding opportunities
• Volunteer in the Tuckshop, Uniform Shop or at events like stalls and sausage sizzles
• Donate resources/supplies/ time when needed
• Support fundraising activities
• Invite other Kilcoy families along to community events

There are many ways to contribute to the school community - some tasks may take 15 minutes; others may be more involved; and there is often a sense of satisfaction in helping “make it happen

Thank you everyone for the fantastic year that we have had. With your support, we have been able to provide KSS students with numerous new resources, been able to upgrade and replace aged equipment in the tuckshop and in the hall and been able to host events throughout the year that bring smiles to everyone's faces.

Happy Monday everyone!

Just some housekeeping for this week:

1. The uniform shop will NOT be open tomorrow, however QKR ordering will be open the entire week and over the school holidays. We will endeavour to get any orders placed this week, to you before Friday. Please ensure your contact number is current in your QKR profile so you can be notified when items are ready for pick up.

2. There is no tuckshop this week. We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Miss Rach for keeping our bellies full and smiles on our faces. We can't wait to see what you have for us next year.

3. We also need to say a huge thank you to Miss Kylie for being our uniform shop convenor. Without you, our shop wouldn't of ran as smoothly as it has this year, and we appreciate all your help. As Kylie will not be continuing on next year, we will need another volunteer to fill this position. If you can spare one hour, one day a week to help us out please send us a message.

Apply for an executive position for 2025 is easy!

1. Keep an eye out on our socials and in the newsletter for when the applications are open
2. Request an application form – these will be available from the office or can be emailed
3. Drop your filled in application from back to the office before the due date
4. Wait until the AGM (usually end of February/ early March) where you and other applicants will attend so the positions can be voted on and announced.

We know we’ve said this a million times, but we cannot thank our parent helpers enough!

With every event we hold, we have a whole team of people behind us cheering us on, supporting us, guiding us and helping. Without the power of the parents and caregivers, we cannot do all the fun things we do.

Why volunteer?
