Illawarra Violin Repair is operated by John D Johnston, who began making violins in Australia in the mid 1970,s, then went on to study violin making in England from 1977 to 1980 at NSVM. He has made over 200 violins, violas and cellos, and repaired and restored everything from beginners violins to rare and valuable Italian violins.
