I like to dabble in landscape painting, but I don’t always look to the hills and mountains for inspiration. Today on my afternoon walk, I noticed the lines created in sand by the receding water… it looks like the way mountains overlap.
This got me thinking about where we get our inspiration from in our everyday practice, do you seek out only early childhood sector documents, or do you seek out other disciplines? I’m thinking psychologist, speech pathologist’s, theorist from different professions or sectors, leadership gurus, etc? When we do, it helps us see beyond our own thinking towards different perspective… try it, you’ll learn a lot, critically reflect AND join in professional ‘conversations’ that benefit children…
