DISTRICT ATHS 🏆

What a fantastic day at District Athletics! Our students represented our school with pride, enthusiasm and sportsmanship, giving their best across a range of track and field events.

A huge congratulations to all our students who competed, with several outstanding first and second-place finishes and a relay team securing second place. 🌟

We are incredibly proud of the effort, determination and positive attitude shown by everyone throughout the day!

DIRT DETECTIVES
Our Year 3 students became geologists and ecologists for the day, exploring the five layers of soil and discovering the incredible creatures and microorganisms that live beneath our feet! 🐛
They investigated soil under microscopes, matched mini-beasts to their habitats, learned about fascinating organisms like Archaea, and even took home their own pet rock from the lowest layer of soil! 🪨

YEAR 4 HISTORY INCURSION
Our Year 4 students stepped back to 1788 during an engaging and fun-filled First Fleet incursion! Students dressed as captains, officers and convicts while discovering fascinating facts about key people and life during this important period of Australian history.

🌿 They ground spices and learnt about the importance of the spice trade
💌 They discovered the touching story of love tokens that convicts made and left for their families
⭕❌ They played the traditional Aboriginal game Ngaka Ngaka, similar to tic-tac-toe
🎭 And they brought history to life by stepping into the roles of people from the past!

It was a fantastic hands-on experience that brought our history learning to life! 📚✨

The Preps had some special parent visitors to talk about their jobs as community helpers. Meaghan spoke about being a vet and Paul talked to the children about being a builder. This gave the Preps some invaluable language experiences to connect with their inquiry unit this term. Looked like lots of fun!

The spotlight is calling… and Chandler Park Primary School is ready to shine!

For the first time since before COVID, Chandler Park is preparing for a whole-school original production, and we couldn't be more excited. For many of our students, this will be their very first opportunity to perform on a real theatre stage—a truly unforgettable experience.

100 DAYS OF SCHOOL

Last week we celebrated a very special milestone – The first 100 Days of School! 💯🎉

Our Foundation students had a fantastic time celebrating 100 days of learning, laughter and growth. Many came dressed as 100-year-olds or creatively decorated themselves with 100 bedazzling items!

The day was filled with exciting 100-themed activities, including making paper chains with 100 links, decorating delicious fairy bread with hundreds and thousands, and plenty more throughout the day.

What a wonderful achievement for our Foundation students. We are so proud of everything they have learned and accomplished in their first 100 days of school! ❤️
