Our Year 6 students participated in an engaging incursion exploring the topic of Migration in Humanities Subject.

Students investigated the immigration process to Australia, learning about the reasons people migrate and the valuable contributions immigrants have made to Australian society. Through interactive, hands-on activities, students explored the concept of global citizenship, examined international responses to refugees, and developed an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of Australian citizenship. This enriching experience also encouraged students to appreciate the rich diversity and multicultural fabric of Australia.

A huge congratulations to our Year 8 Girls Soccer Team for winning the Greater Dandenong Division!

The team showed incredible skill, teamwork and determination throughout the competition winning every single match and drawing just one against 5 other schools!

Finishing on top with the highest scoring points, the girls should be incredibly proud of this amazing achievement.
Well done to our Year 8 students! 🙌🏼

Mt Hira College students were honoured to attend the annual SRC Forum hosted by Al-Taqwa College, joining students from various Islamic schools for a meaningful day focused on leadership, networking, and personal development. Through engaging workshops, lectures and collaborative activities, students explored the importance of leading with purpose, character and responsibility.

We commend our College Captains and Year 11 Core Leaders for their excellent participation, leadership and representation of Mt Hira College throughout the day. Their conduct and engagement reflected the strong values and spirit of our college community.

A sincere thank you to Al-Taqwa College for hosting such a beneficial and inspiring event and for bringing together young Muslim leaders from across our community.

May Allah continue to guide and empower our youth as the future leaders of both the Muslim and wider Australian community. Ameen.

Mt Hira College celebrate April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.

This meaningful day marks the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in 1920 and celebrates children as the future of the nation, a special gift from Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Our school performance reflects this spirit through vibrant traditional dances, joyful songs, and heartfelt poetry. Students come together to share their diverse cultures, express creativity, and celebrate unity and hope.

Happy National Sovereignty and Children’s Day! 🇹🇷🇦🇺
