🎭✨ Big Ideas for Little Voices! ✨🎭

A huge well done to our P–2 students who took to the stage yesterday for their incredible production of ‘Big Ideas for Little Voices!’ 🌟

We are so incredibly proud of the way our students showed confidence, courage and creativity, embracing the opportunity to perform in front of an audience. They were wonderful communicators, sharing their voices, talents and ideas, and demonstrated what it means to be risk-takers by stepping outside their comfort zones and giving their very best.

A special thank you to Miss Wood and Mr Gliddon for their incredible organisation, dedication and hard work in bringing this wonderful production to life. Your passion and commitment made this experience so special for our students and community. ❤️

🥇🏃🏾‍♀️ Noble Park District Athletics 🥇🏃🏻

A huge congratulations to our KGPS athletes who represented our school with pride at the Noble Park District Athletics today. Despite some challenging weather conditions, our students showed fantastic resilience, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day.

In an impressive result, KGPS won three of the six 4 x 100m relay events and finished 2nd in another. We also had a large number of students achieve excellent individual results and progress through to the Division Athletics later this month.

As a school, KGPS finished 5th overall in the School Championship, which is a fantastic achievement in a highly competitive district.

A big thank you to Ms King and Miss Opie for taking our students and supporting them throughout the day. Finally, a big thank you to Mr Blundell for all his hard work organising and coordinating these awesome opportunities for our students!

🤖🖥️ Young ICT Explorers Competition 🖥️🤖

Our two ‘YICTE teams’ are ready to present their digital technologies projects to judges for the Young ICT Explorers Competition. Their inventions solve real world problems - One teachers young people about cyber safety through a coded game. The other project is ‘ sensing smart living ‘ and is a home device that features safety sensors for disabled residence. GOOD LUCK TO OUR TWO TEAMS!! 🧡

Today we recognise Indigenous Literacy Day, a day that celebrates and raises awareness of the importance of literacy in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Literacy opens doors to learning, connection and opportunity, and we acknowledge the ongoing work of First Nations authors, educators and communities in sharing stories, language and culture.

At Keysborough Gardens Primary School, we take this opportunity to celebrate and learn from the rich storytelling traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
