Anzac Day Activities

On Friday, we spent two hours learning about ANZAC Day and why it so important. We started by researching the symbols of ANZAC Day and why these are so significant to the day. We then watched a video, cooked Anzac biscuits and completed an artwork featuring the poppy. Grade 5/6 & Prep D Buddies

Active Youth Program - Grade 5/6

On Tuesday 21st, Grade 5 & 6 students started their Active Youth program facilitated by Rhonda Allan from the Mallee Sports Assembly (promoting mental and physical health). Firstly, they participated in a disability awareness session where they learnt about different ways to be inclusive. When that session finished, they went straight into a healthy eating session where they made rice paper rolls. What a great way to start this program. Prior to this initiative starting, the students were surveyed as to the types of activities that they thought would benefit them the most.

Anzac Day 2026

Many thanks to our students and staff who were able to proudly represent our school at the Anzac Day service and march this morning. Our school captains and vice captains laid a wreath, and the students did a wonderful job of being respectful throughout the service. We also raised $332 for the Kerang RSL. Many thanks to our families who brought the students along, Mrs Jones' mum Leonie for making our wreath, and the Kerang RSL.

One of the many things we love about our school is our spacious, green grounds. Coming back to school this week, everything looked so lush, beautiful and welcoming. Just the type of school ground I'd like to play in. Many thanks to Ross Nesbit, Alan Gillingham and Peter Szabo for maintaining our grounds so meticulously for our school community. :)
