Recently, our Year 8 students participated in a fantastic Formation Day led by the De La Salle Brothers. Throughout the day, students explored the idea that the Saints are real-life superheroes. They reflected on the qualities that make someone a hero and considered how the Saints demonstrated faith, courage, compassion, and service in their everyday lives.

Students also thought about the people they see as superheroes in their own lives and how they can follow the example of the Saints by helping others, standing up for what is right, and making a positive difference in their communities.

It was a wonderful day of reflection, learning, and faith formation for our Year 8 cohort.

Students are asked to donate groceries, scarves, beanies, blankets, toiletries, or Return and Earn vouchers.

Please ensure all donations are clearly marked with your House and placed in the Student Foyer.

❤️MacKillop: Rice, tinned food, plain tuna
💛Paterson: Tea, coffee, sugar, milo, 2-minute noodles

✨ MARIAN DAY 2026 ✨

What an incredible Marian Day celebration we shared as a college community last week! Staff and students embraced the fun and spirit of the day with fantastic dress-ups, exciting rides, a range of games and activities, and delicious treats from Mr Whippy. 🎡🍦🪩🎭

The day also marked the beginning of our annual Blake Tickell Cup — Staff vs Students — with the students taking out the first victory in the Lip Sync Battle! 🎤👏🏆

It was wonderful to see our community come together with such enthusiasm, joy and school spirit. 💙💛

~MARIAN DAY 2026~

Last week, the Marian Catholic College community gathered for our 2026 Marian Day Mass celebrated by Fr Giovani and assisted by John, the seminarian currently assigned to St Madeleine Sophie Barat Parish.

It was a beautiful celebration centred on the example of Mary and the lessons she teaches us through her faith, courage, compassion and willingness to say “yes” to God. Students and staff were encouraged to reflect on how we can model ourselves on our college patroness in the way we care for others, walk with Christ and live out our faith each day.

We thank Fr Giovani and John for sharing this special celebration with our community.

Congratulations once again to the students who received Marian Day Awards in recognition of their consistent demonstration of the College values of Respect, Responsibility, Personal Excellence, and Serving Others.
