A big thank you to Junkyard Beats for a fantastic music incursion! The children explored sound, patterns, and movement using household items and recycled materials. Learning, creating, and having a blast along the way!
Living Safely with Dogs
Yesterday our preschool children participated in the Responsible Pet Ownership Program and enjoyed an incursion where we get to spend some time a real dog inside our environment.
The children learned important safety tips about how to live with and interact gently and respectfully with dogs. They discovered how to read dog body language, approach calmly, and keep both themselves and our furry friends safe.

Do you remember the post from last month when we celebrated the earth day?
Our toddler children celebrated Earth Day with a hands-on science project. They painted the Earth and planted chia seeds on cotton balls. Over two weeks, they watched patiently as tiny seeds transformed into fresh green sprouts, representing the land growing on our planet.
Growth takes time just like our children. With care, patience, and nurturing, they continue to learn, bloom, and thrive every day.

We had a blast at our local park story time. We began with a key word signing acknowledgement of country and then drove into a story and songs. We counted 10 airplanes flying overhead, picked some sticks, spotted some bugs and did some drawing woke lying on our tummies. It was a wonderful day out connecting to the country and our local community

This morning, our centre was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed a science incursion!
Extending our growing interest and knowledge in science, our little scientists dressed in their lab coats and explored a variety of hands-on experiments, investigating concepts such as chemical reactions, force and motion.
As the children building up their scientific knowledge, they are also developing confidence, critical thinking, and a range of other skills and dispositions.
We look forward to continuing this journey of learning together!

Recently, our centre celebrated the rich diversity within our community. Children and educators came together dressed in their cultural clothing, sharing cultures and traditions through singing and dancing.
Our celebration concert started with an Acknowledgement of Country presented through key word signing, recognising Australia’s First Nations peoples while also celebrating inclusiveness and different ways of being, becoming, and belonging.
Moments like these remind us that diversity is our strength, and everyone belongs. 💛

Today, we celebrated Pi (π) Day (3.14) ! It’s the very first Pi (π) Day we celebrated in the centre. It is very exciting!
One of our preschool mums, who is a mathematician and teacher, joined us to explore some fun maths concepts with the children. They talked about shapes , especially circles, and discovered how maths can be found all around us. The children also enjoyed apple pie for afternoon tea… the perfect Pi Day treat!
It was also a lovely way to connect with International Women’s Day, celebrating the many roles women have in our community — as mums and professionals who inspire the next generation.
