Congratulations to beloved comedian and UNSW alumna Magda Szubanski AO, who’s just been inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame! 🏆
Magda is only the fifth woman ever to receive this honour since the awards began in 1984.
In 2019, she was also awarded an Honorary Doctor of Letters from UNSW for her incredible contributions to the performing arts, storytelling, and advocacy for LGBTIQA+ rights.

A whopping 60 alumni have been celebrated with Australia Day Honours in 2025. Congratulations to everyone in our community! 🥳
Professor Megan Davis, Professor Bronwyn Fox and Professor Veena Sahajwalla lead the list of UNSW community members recognised with 2025 Australia Day Honours!
⚖️ Prof. Davis, a renowned constitutional lawyer and human rights advocate has been appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) for eminent service to the law and to social justice, to the national and international advocacy of the rights of Indigenous peoples, and to the community.
📚 UNSW Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and Enterprise, Prof. Fox has been appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for her distinguished service to public administration, scientific research, advanced manufacturing and tertiary education.
♻️ Prof. Sahajwalla has been appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for her distinguished service to science as an engineer and inventor, sustainable materials research and waste management.

A huge congrats to UNSW Alumni Sam and Chanel!
Three UNSW students and graduates have been named in the Forbes Australia 30 Under 30 list! 👏
UNSW student Jesse Waller, and UNSW alumni Chanel Contos and Sam Koslowski, have all been recognised in the inaugural 30 Under 30 Australian list, across the Social Impact and Media & Entertainment categories.

🏆 For a 2nd year in a row the Australian Financial Review has named UNSW the top university in Australia for most employable graduates! 🎓
UNSW also maintained second place in the Research category and scored highly on Equity, achieving fourth place out of 40 Australian universities!
