This is a flashback to the beginning of Akina Edmond's journey with The Rehearsal Room acting process. She has contributed much to the evolution of these acting techniques and changed my view of the world by introducing me to single malt whisky. 😃😄
The Rehearsal Room
The Rehearsal Room are unique face-to-face online classes run by Director and Acting Teacher Richard
Richard has been teaching these techniques for 3 decades to professional and beginner actors. His book "Acting Revolution" which is about to be published reveals why this is the most advanced acting process in the world.

An introduction to the BEST acting process EVER! Is that an overstatement??
Come along on Thursday 5.30pm to 7pm and find out.
Sokol, 497 Queensberry Street, North Melbourne.
If you are a beginner actor this will give you the confidence to give it a try. If you are a professional, but not familiar with these techniques, it will clarify many embedded confusions. Professionals will be surprised how simple and practical it is.
The Rehearsal Room's vocabulary is specific, active and enables actors to make clear decisions fast.
If every scene has an Instigator and a Responder it is important for an actor to understand how their behaviours differ. This video describes how an actor should define the RESPONDER's role in any scene.

Actors who find out about this technique love it. This fascinating comment (below) is from a sixteen year old who found that The Rehearsal Room process answered questions that a major school, teaching traditional processes, didn't explore. There is a significant difference and valuable tools to be gained.
The next term of classes commences with a MASTER CLASS on 20 April.
Some actors simply don't get Meisner's Repetition Exercises.
I don't get them either. But the intention behind those exercises is totally reasonable. And, I can show you a much better way of achieving those goals.
Learn how to make good use of Meisner principles in a workshop that starts on 22 April.
This term has been all about comedy reps.
A brand-new comedy scene every week has brought big swings, bold choices, and a lot of laughs along the way.
Watching everyone sharpen their comedy instincts has been a joy. And honestly, the growth in the room has been huge.
Which is why we’re doing it again. If you want to strengthen your your comedy chops and comedic confidence - classes starts April 20.
