🛒❤️ Cafe Credits Foodbank Donation

At New College, residents receive cafe credits for meals they miss during the week. Rather than letting unused credits expire, our community came together to put them towards something meaningful.

By saving and donating spare cafe credits, residents raised over $1,200 worth of essential items, including pasta, cereal, baby wipes, tampons, and more for those in need.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed. We're excited to continue this initiative throughout the year and make the most of the resources available to us. đź’™

Earlier this term, 30 of our residents took part in the Red Bull Wings for Life World Run, joining thousands around the world to raise funds for spinal cord research and support the mission of running for those who can’t.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of more than 40 donors, our college community raised over $657 for the Wings for Life Foundation! ❤️

It was a fantastic evening filled with great energy, whether you joined for a relaxed walk and enjoyed the atmosphere or pushed your limits on the course. Special shoutout to Edwin Roach, Murray Cameron-Brown, Liam McCann, and Ethan Lenton, who each ran over 20km! 🔥

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported the event. We’re proud to have been part of such a worthwhile cause. 💙

Congratulations to Dr Sercan Çetinkaya, who after four years living at NCPV with his spouse has completed his PhD in materials science and nuclear engineering. His work has taken him to ANSTO, to international conferences, and to publications that will outlast his time here. He leaves us for a role at the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Agency, where he will work to develop domestic nuclear technologies.

The 2026 Pentecost Formal Dinner was a wonderful celebration of the New College community. We were privileged to welcome our Guest of Honour, Mr Harry Turner. His inspiring and memorable address encouraged us to reflect on the value of community, service, and leadership. We were also grateful for Matthew Grosvenor’s insightful reflections at the pre-dinner drinks. An evening of fellowship, tradition, and connection that will be remembered fondly.

Monday night sports champions! 🏆 The boys won soccer and the girls placed third in netball! Most importantly, our teams showed incredible sportsmanship and encouragement every step of the way.
