Oggi (Today) the 1/2s had a special visitor, Genny who spoke to them about her Italian heritage. She shared photos of her family and spoke fondly of cooking together. We then created our own pizzas. It was so much fun! Grazie, Genny 🍕🤗

It was a special occasion today as some of our Year 6 students celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation.
May they continue to be filled with the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Yesterday the 1/2s went on an excursion to Newell’s Paddock where they watered different plants and enjoyed a guided walk with Maribyrnong River’s ranger, Martin.

Thank you to Martin and Allan for your time and the knowledge that you shared with our 1/2s. A big thank you to our parent helpers who came and helped out on the day. 🌱

💚 What an amazing Green Day we had today! 💚

Together, our school community raised a fantastic $450.00 for ! It was wonderful to see our classrooms brightened up with a sea of green clothes and creative green hair! 🟢✨

One of the highlights of the day was our jellybean guessing competition, which gave us a beautiful look into the heart and values of our students. We ended up with two equal winners from Prep! When offered the choice to either share the jar of jellybeans or have a tie-breaker guess, the girls conferred with one another and happily chose to share the prize. 🍬💖

What a heart-warming moment! This is Shining with Mercy Spirit!

Thank you to everyone who supported Green Day and helped bring awareness and funds to help kids stay stronger for longer. 🙌

At Holy Rosary, we have a number of students with food related allergies and anaphylaxis. While food bans are not recommended, we ask parents to be mindful when packing school lunches. Avoiding items containing nuts helps us keep all our students safe.

This week we celebrated NAIDOC week! While the official NAIDOC week dates have passed, we are taking this opportunity to recognise and celebrate the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Our Year 3/4 students enjoyed reading Indigenous picture storybooks and researching inspiring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. They shared what they had learned with the class through presentations.
It has been a wonderful way to deepen our understanding, celebrate First Nations voices and continue learning together.

🟢GET READY FOR GREEN DAY!🟢
Brought to you by our SRC

Green Day is an action-packed fundraiser, with all donations going towards Muscular Dystrophy Australia (MDA), to help kids stay stronger for longer. Muscular Dystrophy is a condition that impacts many kids, but the good news is that we can help. Holy Rosary School’s Green Day is a simple way to raise money for MDA.

Green Day will be held on Friday 24th July, Week 2 of Term 3. It will be an exciting and fast-paced day. In the days before Green Day, we will host a green jelly bean guessing competition. On Green Day come to school with crazy green hair and green clothes for a gold coin donation. There will be a duo downball tournament, with the winners receiving a trophy. It will be a whole lot of fun!

Use the holidays to plan your crazy outfit for GREEN Day.

Remember, even one dollar can help children stay stronger for longer!
