What a fantastic day at the Kempsey Eisteddfod Society Inc!

We are incredibly proud of our students and the way they represent Gladstone Public School.

Today's performance showcased not only their growing musical skills, but also the teamwork, practice, patience, perseverance and resilience that helped them reach this stage.

A special congratulations to Asher for her exceptional keyboard solo performance and to Xanthe on her first time appearance in the All in Schools Guitar group.

A special thank you to Mrs Capp and the team from Australian Children's Music Foundation - ACMF for their ongoing support, encouragement and dedication to helping our students confidence and resilience grow as musicians and performers.

Congratulations and thank you to all of our students for supporting one another and giving their very best throughout the day. We couldn't be prouder.

We were busy learning all about dog safety and responsible pet ownership this week with through fun activities, roleplays and songs from the NSW Responsible Pet Ownership Program.

We are now the experts, ready to share our learning with others! Follow the link to Victor & Victoria's Pet Town for some fun activities and helpful reminders about staying safe around pets.

There is something pretty special about seeing an idea become reality, and today was one of those moments.

Our legendary Year 6 shirt arrived today, designed by a truly legendary Year 6 student!

One of the joys of being a small school is the opportunity for students to have a genuine voice and leave their mark on our school community. From the first sketch to the finished shirt, this project reflects creativity, school pride and a willingness to have a go.

Judging by the smiles, excitement and a celebratory twirl, we think this year's shirt is pretty legendary!

This has been a massive undertaking to include over 450 individual performances, providing equitable scheduling for the numerous schools and students participating, acknowledging our incredible sponsors (including some amazing scholarship opportunities *watch this space*), and highlighting our professional and experienced adjudicators.

Thank you for your patience and ongoing support, the Eisteddfod only runs because of the dedication of our families, volunteers, and sponsors 🤩

How does water get to our taps?
Where does rain come from? What makes the rain? Why is it cloudy? ...

These were just some of the questions our students explored during a recent and very curious Water Wise session with Cascade Environmental Education Centre.

Through engaging hands-on investigations and a school water audit, we discovered more about the journey of water and why every drop matters...

Rain? Mud? Wet shoes? No problem for our curious, young Gladstone Public School scientists!

After watching Moss Piglet at the Glasshouse Port Macquarie our students have spent their playtimes exploring soil, puddles and gardens around our school searching for microscopic tardigrades - aka tiny “water bears” or "moss piglets"

We love seeing learning continue beyond the classroom through curiosity, wonder and hands-on investigation.
