Mamre Anglican School Mamre Anglican School - Growing Their Future

Mamre Anglican School is a thriving Christian co-educational school offering education from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 in the peaceful semi-rural surrounds of Kemps Creek.

As a ministry of the Sydney Anglican Schools Corporation, our mission is simple yet purposeful: to be a Christian school striving for academic excellence and a love of Jesus. We are committed to nurturing every student academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally, empowering them to discover their God-given gifts and use them to make a positive difference in their communities and beyond.

At Mamre Anglican School, we believe every child is uniquely created with purpose. Our dedicated teachers foster a culture of high expectations, personalised support and genuine care, ensuring students are challenged to achieve their personal best while feeling known, valued and encouraged throughout their educational journey.

Our comprehensive curriculum follows the NSW Curriculum while integrating a Christian worldview across all areas of learning. Strong foundations in literacy and numeracy are complemented by innovative learning opportunities in Science, Technology, Creative and Performing Arts, Sport and Vocational pathways, preparing students with the skills, character and confidence to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Learning extends well beyond the classroom through a diverse range of co-curricular opportunities. Students can pursue their passions through specialist programs including our Football Academy, Dance Program, Rural Fire Cadets, Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, Creative and Performing Arts, instrumental music, leadership opportunities, sporting competitions, community service initiatives, camps, excursions and a wide variety of clubs and enrichment activities.

Our Christian faith underpins everything we do. Through Chapel, Christian Studies and daily interactions, students are encouraged to develop integrity, compassion, resilience and respect for others. We partner closely with families to cultivate a supportive learning environment where students grow in wisdom, character and faith.

Set on a spacious 22-hectare campus, Mamre Anglican School provides outstanding facilities including modern classrooms, specialist learning spaces, contemporary technology, extensive sporting fields, a multi-purpose stadium, library, food technology facilities and welcoming outdoor learning environments.

More than just a school, Mamre Anglican School is a community where students are inspired to learn, encouraged to lead, equipped to serve and empowered to grow into the people God has created them to be.

Our Pre-K children have been learning about life cycles with the help of some very special visitors, adorable baby chicks! 🐣🥚

The chicks arrived in our Pre-K classroom as eggs, and throughout the week, the children watched with excitement as they began to hatch. This wonderful hands-on experience gave our children a deeper understanding of the different stages of a chicken’s lifecycle.

Our children, families and teachers also enjoyed visiting, gently holding and caring for the fluffy new arrivals.

The learning continues this week, with duck eggs now in the Pre-K classroom! Our children are eagerly waiting and watching as they look forward to welcoming the ducklings and seeing another life cycle come to life 🦆

Earlier this week, five of our Senior School students proudly represented our school at the annual Wingara Student Leadership Event, hosted by Independent Schools NSW in partnership with Western Sydney University.
The event brought together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from across NSW to explore the theme dhurali warunggag, meaning “to grow Elders” in Dharug.

Throughout the day, our students participated in a range of engaging workshops focused on culture, leadership and post-school pathways, while connecting with other young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders from across the state.

We are incredibly proud of our students for embracing this opportunity to learn, connect and grow as emerging leaders.

A big thank you to the Wingara team for creating such a meaningful and inspiring event!

Our Year 8 students recently enjoyed a fun and memorable excursion to an Italian pizza restaurant, where they explored Italian culture and discovered the fascinating history of one of the world’s most-loved foods!

Students enjoyed stretching, tossing and shaping pizza dough, with some even learning a few impressive dough-flipping tricks. After plenty of laughs and hands-on learning, they were able to enjoy some delicious pizza together.

A big thank you to Mrs Ascic for organising such a fantastic experience. It was a wonderful day of learning, friendship and, of course, great food!

Mamre Anglican School is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Karen Merrick as Principal, commencing at the beginning of 2027.

As Mamre’s current Deputy Principal, Mrs Merrick already holds a deep understanding of our students, staff and wider school community. She also brings extensive experience from senior leadership roles at St Catherine’s School, Arndell Anglican College, Ravenswood and Oakhill College.

Mrs Merrick is passionate about the best development of every learner, supporting the professional growth of our valued staff and creating further opportunities for students both within and beyond the curriculum. She is deeply committed to Mamre’s Christian values and ensuring that the gospel continues to shape the experiences and opportunities offered to our students.

We are incredibly grateful to Mr Ross Whelan for the leadership he has provided over the past three years. Mr Whelan will work closely with Mrs Merrick throughout the remainder of the year to ensure a smooth transition, and we look forward to formally acknowledging his enormous contribution to Mamre later this year.

Please join us in warmly congratulating Mrs Merrick on her appointment as the next Principal of Mamre Anglican School. We look forward with great excitement to this next chapter in Mamre’s story

This morning, we had the pleasure of welcoming families to Mamre Anglican School for our Pre-K and Kindergarten Open Morning.

Our young visitors enjoyed exploring our learning spaces and taking part in a range of hands-on activities, collecting stamps in their special passports as they moved through each station. Families also had the opportunity to meet our teachers and school leaders, learn more about our Pre-K and Kindergarten programs, and experience the warm and welcoming community that makes Mamre so special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We hope you enjoyed the morning and left with a wonderful sense of what it means to begin your child’s learning journey at Mamre Anglican School.

We loved meeting you and look forward to welcoming many of you back again soon!

Junior School Citizenship Chapel 🎖

Today, our Junior School community came together for a special Citizenship Chapel, recognising students who consistently demonstrate the values at the heart of Mamre Anglican School.

These outstanding students were acknowledged for the kindness, respect, responsibility and integrity they display through their words, actions and interactions with others. Whether lending a helping hand, including a classmate or making positive choices, each recipient is a wonderful example of what it means to be a valued member of our Mamre community.

The ceremony was made even more memorable by our talented students. Year 1 delivered a fantastic performance, our Junior School Choir sang beautifully, and several individual performances from our CAPA students brought so much life, energy and excitement to the celebration.

Congratulations to all our Citizenship Award recipients and performers! We are incredibly proud of the positive example you set and the wonderful contribution you make to our Junior School community each day.
