A huge congrats to one of our team members Stef who graduated from his Masters of Music Therapy on the weekend! 🎓

I still remember the ‘interview’ I had with Stef when he first moved to Brisbane, when a shaggy haired fella in thongs stepped into the coffee shop. We hit it off instantly, with his gentle nature and passion for people (and animals!) winning me over… and we had not even been looking for a new team member at the time!

Since then and over the last 4 years Stef has worked as a therapy assistant for Rhythm. As of today, I’m excited to say we can now welcome the latest Registered Music Therapist to the team! 🎉

🎉 After an enormous year, we’ve finally made it to the last week of school term! 🎉

Over the past few weeks we’ve seen, and felt, the end-of-year energy from our young rockstars. They’re slowly but surely cruising toward the finish line, ready for a well-deserved break, a reset, and a summer of relaxation.

And let’s be honest… we’re right there with them! Even our therapy dog Murphy has well and truly earned his holiday this year! 🐾

Three more days to go… not that we’re counting! 🤗

We had our staff Christmas party over the weekend and quickly discovered that some of our team’s talents extend well beyond music… Turns out we’ve been hiding a few unexpected putt-putt prodigies in our midst ⛳️

Lots of laughs, questionable techniques and always a healthy dose of competition… but honestly I’m feeling even more grateful for the incredible people I have on the team! It was so nice to have everyone together and celebrate all that we’ve shared this year ~ bring on 2026! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating the incredible dogs who are part of our therapy team offering Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT). These four-legged pals bring comfort, joy, and a whole lot of wagging tails to the work we do at Rhythm Music Therapy.

From calming cuddles to playful moments, our therapy dogs remind us of the healing power of connection, presence, and unconditional love. 💛

Here’s to our therapy pups ~ the real MVPs who make sessions brighter, softer, and filled with more smiles and tail wagging. 🐕✨

Wishing our lovely RMT Lauren the absolute best birthday today, lapping up the sunshine at the beach with all of the best pups, birthday treats and lovin’ she deserves!

I’m sure the people she works with can agree that we are so lucky to have Lauren on the team!

I feel so grateful to have the opportunity to be training another therapy dog, and only because the first one was so damn good at it!

I’m so thankful to have had Monte as Rhythms first therapy dog (as displayed on the wall), who certainly paved the way for Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) at Rhythm 🐾

After such a positive impact, Monte inspired me to keep the momentum and train a pup from scratch again! may have big paws to fill, but he’s certainly on his way there! 😇

Hailing from the UK, Brad holds a Master of Arts in Music Therapy and is a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) 🎓🎶

He brings years of experience working with children and adolescents, with particular interest and expertise in:

It was super sweet to have one of our youngest rockstars explore the drum kit this morning, rocking out while rocking an Elsa dress! Who says princesses can’t shred?

Drumming isn’t just fun (though she made it very fun). It also supports coordination, emotional expression, and confidence building, especially in little ones. A royal rhythm session fit for a queen! 👑
