QUTbluebox bluebox is the innovation and knowledge transfer company for Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

Founded in 2006, bluebox is a wholly owned subsidiary of QUT, co-located with the Division of Research and Commercialisation at the QUT’s Kelvin Grove campus. bluebox is dedicated to teaming up with QUT researchers and students in identifying, evaluating, protecting and transferring QUT intellectual property to the real world. The bluebox team consists of experienced professionals with industry-relevant technical backgrounds and a broad range of skills in science, management, legal, patent and financing areas. We aim to enable the successful uptake and impact of QUT’s research and ingenuity for the benefit of QUT, its staff, students and the community.

Our core role is to work together with QUT researchers to assess, develop and protect innovative intellectual property with the ultimate goal of transferring the innovations into the marketplace where they will have the greatest impact.
