NSW Senior State Swimming Championships

Brooklyn competed at the NSW Senior State Swimming Championships over the weekend, coming away with two Silver Medals in the 200m Butterfly and 400m IM!

To top it off, Brooklyn absolutely smashed it, securing two more Australian Open Qualifying Times in both events.

What an amazing effort, Brooklyn!

KELSO 50 YEARS IN THE MAKING💚

During 2026 Kelso High proudly celebrates 50 years of educational excellence! Here is another piece of history!

The 2014 Decade Award recipient, Tom Wilson, was recognized for his role as the Australian representative to the Palestinian Authority.

The 2001 recipient, and now CSU lecturer Kate Smith, was recognized for her success as an actress & comedian in the Entertainment industry.

The CKC Cup kicks off on Monday, 31 August, with Kelso High School taking on Cowra High School.

It’s almost time! In one week, the first group of Year 5 students will take part in our Year 5 Experience Day, an exciting milestone on their journey to high school.

A FANTASTIC RESULT FOR KELSO AGRICULTURE!

Congratulations to our Agriculture students who competed in the 2026 NSW Schools Merino Wether Challenge!

Kelso High School fielded two teams in Zone 2, one of the toughest zones in the competition, competing against 34 schools, including the eventual state champions, St Matthews Catholic School Mudgee.

Our students should be incredibly proud of their results:

🏆 Kelso A – 6th in Zone 2 overall (Zone Champion standings)
🏆 Kelso A – 28th overall in NSW, out of 138 teams
🥩 Kelso A – 5th in Zone 2 for Carcass Value
🥩 Kelso A – 20th overall in NSW for Carcass Value
✨ Kelso A – 6th in Zone 2 for Best Presented (Out of Wool)
✨ Kelso A – 15th overall in NSW for Best Presented (Out of Wool)
🐑 Kelso B - also competed strongly across every category, finishing mid-field in a highly competitive zone.

These results are a fantastic achievement and a huge credit to the months of hard work, preparation and dedication from our students. From feeding and handling their wethers to preparing and presenting them on competition day, our students represented Kelso with pride and professionalism.

And a special thank you to the staff and families who supported our students throughout the challenge. Your time, knowledge and encouragement helped make this experience possible.
