Back to school has never felt more different for us! 🥲We miss you all! In case you hadn’t heard though, there is still a place for you to get your music lessons in Kelmscott. With our full support and backing, one of our piano teachers Lisa has started Soul Vibe Music Studios on Page Road in Kelmscott (Next to Hidden Cafe) with so many of our wonderful teachers on board. They have an open day today between 2-4pm so you should come along and say hi! 👋 🎶
ONE WEEK until we open the doors! 🥳

The tears have started early this morning! Our last concert day EVER and emotions are high. Such touching cards and gifts from families and we are so grateful for all of you for your kindness. See all of our performers today and please remember:
🎶 You *must arrive 30 mins prior to your concert*- check in with staff through the back door of the music school to warm up and do sound checks. Doors will then open to families just a few minutes before. We thank you in advance for your understanding of this ☺️
🚗 All morning concerts will be happening at the same time as shop trading so please allow some extra time to find parking as we do expect it to be busy. There will be some over flow parking on Brant Street, behind our building.

We are busy preparing for our concerts tomorrow! 😍All 7 of them! All info was emailed a few weeks ago but key things to please remember:

🥁 No tickets can be purchased at the door - your names and ticket amounts are pre set and will be with our door staff.

It is with great sadness we share this news with the wider community. Classic Sounds School of Music will officially be closing its doors at the end of this term.
Classic Sounds has been a proud family business run by Morley and Margaret John alongside their family for 22 years, with 3 generations working in both the school and the shop The school has grown into a much loved and respected place in the community with a staff of exemplary teachers; welcoming over 300 students each week to nurture their love of music. We are so proud of our teachers and students (many students have even gone on to become teachers themselves) and we feel privileged to have been able to provide such a diverse and unique place in the local community for you all.
This has been an extremely difficult decision and one we have desperately tried to avoid for the school. Ultimately, the devastating and sudden loss of our beloved matriarch Margaret im May has been the deciding factor in our very difficult decision to close this chapter of the Classic Sounds legacy. Both the music school and the shop will close on the last day of term 4, December 16th 2023. (For those of you participating, we look forward to sharing with you one last end of year concert on December 9th!)
All current students should have received an email from us last week with more details and we will continue to share on Facebook over the next few weeks but for now we wanted to take a deep breath and be brave enough to share it with the whole world. And thank our students and most of all our teachers past and present, for all their support over the years.
On a personal note, Ally and I will miss you all dearly. 😢 x

Singers, guess what? We now stock Vocalzone! 😱Yes, you DID just read that correctly. No more having to buy online from over East or over seas! Woohoo! Tell your friends! Lozenges available in all 3 flavors and we also have the original tea. ☺️

Public Notice - The shop will be closed on Friday 16th June and Saturday 17th June as we partake in funeral arrangements for our beloved wife/Mum Margaret John. The school will be open for lessons as normal, via the rear entrance. We want to thank all our community for all your love and support for us during this very difficult time. x
