When imagination takes flight!

What started as outdoor play turned into a rocketship adventure using bikes, crates and obstacle-course equipment, the children worked together to transform their outdoor environment into something completely new. Through imaginative and pretend play, they explored creativity, problem-solving, collaboration and communication all while having fun! The perfect example of learning through play.

In moments of play like this, we are reminded that learning doesn’t always need to look like a planned activity.

Sometimes, the most meaningful learning happens when children are given the freedom to be curious, create and lead their own play.

One of our most treasured partnerships of all ❤️

The special moments, the smiles, the giggles and the beautiful little relationships that have grown between our children and our wonderful neighbours at Moran Aged Care

We love lighting up their days with our visits, songs, dances, stories and plenty of chatter, but the magic certainly goes both ways. Our children gain so much from these connections too. 🥰

Our North Kellyville Preschoolers have been diving into Science Week with plenty of curiosity, experimenting and hands-on discovery!

We love having Ranger Jamie and the team as a regular part of our Preschool Program, bringing science and STEM learning to life in exciting and engaging ways. From experimenting and building to problem-solving and asking those BIG questions, these experiences encourage our children to think, explore and discover.

STEM is part of the learning all year round at Discover My World, helping us grow our next generation of curious thinkers!

This month is Health & Science Month at Discover My World, and our preschoolers have been busy exploring, experimenting and discovering!

As part of our Kids in the Kitchen experience, the children made their own healthy smoothies while exploring nutrition, healthy choices and plenty of learning along the way, including counting and measuring ingredients, following a recipe, predicting and observing changes.

They even called in our chef, Mr Eaken, for the all-important taste test... and we're pleased to say their creations got the tick of approval!

Healthy bodies, curious minds and lots of hands-on learning!

During yesterday's sudden downpour, the children gathered in the areas that stayed nice and dry, watching the rain fall, listening to the thunder rumble, and taking it all in with wide eyes. 🌧️

But let's be honest... that sudden rain practically begged for a sing-along! ☔🎶 The rain prompted a spontaneous singalong, clapping started, the rainy-day songs were in full swing, and there were plenty of giggles to go with them.

Sometimes you don't need a plan. Just a rainy day, a group of curious children, and a few classic songs to make the moment super sweet.
