What does the educational program at Discover My World entail?

A little bit of everything....

Science experiments that spark curiosity. Geography experiences that help children learn about the world around them. Music and movement that encourage confidence and self-expression. Sports programs that develop coordination and teamwork. Early literacy programs including PreLit and Reading Eggs that build strong foundations for reading and learning.

Along the way, children enjoy incursions, animal encounters, cooking experiences, creative arts, outdoor exploration and countless opportunities to learn through play.

Our program is designed to support children's development from Nursery through to Preschool, ensuring every child is engaged, challenged and inspired throughout their learning journey.

Our children explored the wonders of the ocean through hands-on sensory play, discovering marine life, investigating ocean habitats and learning about the importance of caring for our environment.

Through play, curiosity grows, and so does a love for our amazing blue planet.

Have you ever thought about the importance of educator connections?

Some of the most meaningful relationships children build outside of their family are with their educators. Through trust, consistency and genuine care, educators help children feel safe, secure and valued each day.

These connections nurture confidence, resilience, communication skills and a strong sense of belonging. When children feel supported, they are more likely to explore, learn, build friendships and thrive.

The impact of a great educator reaches far beyond the early years. Through their guidance, encouragement and belief in each child, they help shape how children see themselves, their abilities and the world around them. These are the relationships that help lay the foundations for a lifetime of learning, confidence and success.

Our preschoolers enjoy transforming loose parts and play equipment into ramps, tunnels and racetracks on a regular basis, working together to test ideas, problem solve and negotiate with one another along the way.

What these photos don’t show are the moments of frustration, the tears, the waiting, and the big emotions that can come with cooperative play. Sharing, negotiating and compromising don’t always come naturally, they are skills that are learned over time through real experiences and supported interactions.

With gentle guidance from our educators, the children were encouraged to express their ideas, listen to others, take turns and work through challenges together. While the cars were racing down the ramps, there was also some very important social and emotional learning taking place behind the scenes.

These moments help build resilience, confidence and the foundations to become confident and involved learners.

Every climb, conversation, question and curious little moment helps shape a child’s learning journey.

Through play-based experiences, nurturing relationships and environments designed for exploration, children aged 0–6 are supported to build confidence, independence and important school readiness skills every day.

What a fun way to wrap up our cultural exploration last month!
The children had an amazing time with Jonas and his interactive African drumming performance, filled with music, movement, laughter and plenty of smiles. From dancing and clapping to exploring rhythm together, it was such a joyful hands-on learning experience for all ages.

Learning should always come with fun, connection and lots of happy little faces! 💛
