With the World Cup underway, we want to show our support for the Socceroos. As such, everyone is invited to wear green and gold on Friday 26 June, when Australia plays Paraguay.
Please remember that shoes that are appropriate for safe play, as well as a hat, still need to be worn.
With a win already on the board, let's hope Australia can continue that success and make it past the group stage.
In Term 2, our Faith in Action initiative is focused on supporting Mercy Works, and living out our OLOR Foundation Values of Dignity and Compassion.
We're excited to share with you the news of our Mercy Market on Thursday 25 June, led by our Year 5 students, which will raise funds for Mercy Works. Take a look at the video.
Check Compass for more information about the market and purchasing stamp cards for the day.

Congratulations to our debating team who represented OLOR in Round 2 of the Year 6 Debating Competition.
Debating as the negative team on the topic, "Children should learn a second language," our students delivered a confident and well-prepared case. Their success was built on strong arguments, clear definitions, and solid rebuttals that effectively challenged the opposition's points.
The team demonstrated excellent teamwork, critical thinking, and public speaking skills throughout the debate. Their ability to listen carefully, think quickly, and respond persuasively impressed both the audience and adjudicator.
We are proud to share that our team was awarded the debate.
Congratulations to our team on their outstanding effort and achievement, and thank you Mrs Luland for your support. We look forward to following our teams' debating journey throughout the remainder of the competition!

As the weather gets colder, we are reminded that many families in our community face significant challenges during the winter months.
As part of our St Mary MacKillop Faith in Action Award Program, we are inviting our school community to support our Winter Appeal by donating much-needed items to assist those experiencing hardship.
Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference to someone in need.
We encourage our students to live out the values of compassion, generosity and service by supporting this important initiative and helping bring warmth and hope to others this winter.
Please see the infographic below for donation details and collection information.
Thank you for your continued support and generosity. 💙❄️

What a great night we had at the Hills Band Festival last night! Our senior band was awarded a gold award, the adjudicator's choice award and most entertaining band - an outstanding achievement.
Well done to our band, and especially our amazing band teachers. Thank you to Teaching Services Australia for hosting the band festival and for providing music tuition at OLOR and other schools in the Hills District.
