Turn up the music!

The mood shifts when Nancy takes centre stage.

In the lively tavern number “Oom-Pah-Pah”, Nancy leads the crowd in a rousing song that brings the energy and spirit of Victorian London's tavern life to the stage.

Bold, brassy and full of character, it is one of the most memorable numbers in Oliver! and a wonderful showcase for Nancy and our talented ensemble.

Meet the Artful Dodger

Lost and alone on the streets of London, Oliver's fortunes begin to change when he meets the streetwise Artful Dodger. Dodger takes Oliver under his wing and introduces him to a new world.

“Consider Yourself” is one of the most recognisable songs from Oliver!, filled with warmth, energy and the promise of friendship. But there is just one thing Oliver does not know yet... The welcoming group of friends are actually a gang of pickpockets.

The countdown is officially on!

In just one week, the curtain will rise on this year's College Musical, Oliver! Our talented cast and crew from Years 7 - 12 will bring the streets of Victorian London to life.

Oliver's story begins in the workhouse, where the boys dream of more than the gruel they are served.

“Food, Glorious Food” opens the musical with the boys imagining the wonderful meals they would love to eat. But when their serving of gruel arrives, Oliver makes his now iconic request: “Please, Sir, I want some more.”

100 Days of Prep!

Our Prep students celebrated a wonderful milestone, reaching 100 days of learning, growth and discovery at Overnewton.

The day was filled with fun activities centred around the number 100, lots of laughter and plenty of colour, with students and staff dressing up as words from the THRASS chart to bring their learning to life through creative costumes.

Congratulations to our youngest learners who have achieved so much in their first 100 days of school.

We can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings!

Congratulations to our College Dux of 2025, Minhao (Nathan) Yuan, on receiving a prestigious Premier's VCE Award.

Nathan has been recognised on the Premier's VCE Awards Honour Roll, receiving a Study Award for Music Inquiry in recognition of his outstanding performance in the 2025 VCE. Presented in July 2026, the awards celebrate 322 of Victoria's highest achieving VCE students.

Making the occasion even more special, Nathan was also invited to perform at the awards ceremony, sharing his exceptional musical talent with distinguished guests and fellow award recipients.

Nathan's success reflects the dedication and commitment to excellence that defined his time at Overnewton. We are incredibly proud of all he has accomplished and congratulate him on this well deserved recognition. We look forward to seeing where his talents and passions take him next.
