We celebrate our senior women’s fencing team who won a gold medal at the team fencing event over the weekend.
This result is a true testament to the commitment of the team to a sport which is as much about quick thinking as it is about skill. Congratulations!

The run of sporting excitement continues tonight at 10.00pm AEST with Liz Watson (Class of 2012) captaining the Australian Diamonds netball team in the Commonwealth Games semi-final against Jamaica.
The team won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022, defeating Jamaica by a narrow margin in that match. We’ve got our fingers crossed they can do it again!

We welcome Olympian and CEO of the Victorian Institute of Sport, Nicole Livingstone OAM, to Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School as our speaker for the third and final instalment of the 2026 Thinking Seminar series. This will take place on Wednesday 22 July at 7.00pm in the HR Stevens Auditorium, Keilor East.
Ms Livingstone represented Australia at three Olympic Games and was a medallist 26 times across her Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacific Championship appearances. She holds the longest winning sequence of any Australian swimmer at the National Titles.
After retiring from competitive swimming, Ms Livingstone has made a significant mark on the sporting landscape of Australia, most notably at the helm of Women’s Football for the AFL, and presently as Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Institute of Sport.
Students, families and the wider community are warmly invited to attend. Ticket are available at www.pegs.vic.edu.au/events.
