This week, karate clubs across Australia have stood together to say:
Bullying. No Way.
Through confidence, respect, inclusion and courage, our karate community is helping young people build strength of character both inside and outside the dojo.
Thank you to every club, instructor, volunteer, parent and student who helped share this message. 💚
Together, we are building stronger people and stronger communities, one dojo at a time.

Karate teaches courage, but not the kind that looks for a fight.
Real courage is having the self-control to do what is right.
👊🏻 It is speaking up when something is wrong.
👊🏻 It is supporting someone who feels alone.
👊🏻 It is choosing kindness when others do not.
In karate, courage and control go together.
Stand Strong. Speak Up.

Karate brings people together 💙
Different ages. Different abilities. Different backgrounds. Different goals.
In the dojo, every student deserves to feel safe, welcomed and included.
Bullying often starts by leaving someone out. Karate teaches us to bring people in.
That’s what Karate Against Bullying is all about.

In karate, respect is shown in every bow, every partnership and every class.
✅ We learn to respect our instructors, our training partners and ourselves.
✅ Bullying has no place where respect is practised.
✅ When we choose respect, we help create safer dojos, schools and communities.

Confidence in karate starts with small steps: learning a stance, practising a technique, trying again after mistakes.
That same confidence can help young people stand tall when faced with bullying.
Karate teaches students to believe in themselves, use their voice and know they are not alone. 🙌
