Calling all Music Alumni!

Were you part of the band, choir, orchestra, or ensemble during your time at PEGS? Are you someone who discovered music afterwards and would just like to jam? Whether you played at school or simply love being part of the sound, we’d love to provide an outlet for your musical passion.

The Alumni Association is seeking expressions of interest from former students who would like to be involved in a music-based network, with an eye to creating opportunities to perform, collaborate, mentor, and support the next generation of PEGS musicians.

If music was part of your story at PEGS, or is now, help us keep the rhythm going. Contact us via [email protected] to register your interest today and be part of the next movement.

Limerock Family and WWI service
Miss Lilian Limerock joined the Penleigh Girls' School as Joint Principal in 1912. In 1917 she became Principal and changed the school's name to Penleigh Presbyterian Girls' School and remained as Principal until 1946.
In March 1915 her younger brother, John Grieve Limerock, active in Scotch College Cadets then Melbourne University Rifles, joined up, having just passed his Supplementary Annual Examinations in Second Year Civil Engineering. After his initial training at Broadmeadows Training Depot he departed Australia in mid June with "B" Company, 7th Battalion AIF.
John was Killed in Action at Lone Pine, Gallipoli Peninsular some time on 8th or 9th August 1915.
In May 1916 John's personal effects were returned to John's father - two wallets, a photo album, a French book, a brooch and letters.
Like many families of the time, Lilian also lost 2 cousins, including Trooper William Fleming Anderson, also killed at Lone Pine.
