The Keilor Downs College Soccer School is focused on holistic learning with an emphasis on the person before the player. An annual Year 7 intake of 25 places is available to motivated students. Final enrolment is confirmed after a formal interview with the student and their parents. Our evolving program looks to logically and progressively develop a player from a hardware (physical, technical and

tactical), as well as the software (lifestyle, emotional and mental) over the course of six years to take them from childhood through to the dawn of adulthood. The program includes:

specialised training sessions each school term

training all year round on grass, synthetic and indoor surfaces

working with highly qualified and enthusiastic coaches

working in a safe and secure school environment with like-minded student athletes.

We are thrilled to announce a new member of our coaching team with new goalkeeper coach Cristobel Romero joining our team.
Born in Chile and having played football at AC Barnechea and Rodelindo Roman, Cristobel also completed college in the USA at St. Andrews University before moving to Australia.
Welcome to our family, Cris.

This Thursday, we are hosting Wyndham Central College in a double header to celebrate this wonderful sport that we all love.
A combined year 7/8 boys side will kick off at 10:30am, followed by a girls squad filled with year 7, 8, 9 and 10 talent at 12pm.
Wyndham Central College started their soccer program in 2023, and KDC has been the inspiration behind their project to bring the world game to their students.
All parents are welcome to attend.

Today we want to thank and acknowledge the fabulous professionalism and dedication to our students from our keeper coach Giacomo Moretti.
Giacomo has been with us for almost two years, and now he has secured an incredible full time position at Caroline Springs George Cross.
We thank you for everything.

Five games and five wins for our intermediate girls at Western Metropolitan Futsal today.
They worked hard in their matches and faced a tough Southern Cross Grammar side in the final.
The girls went down 2-0 before a big fightback to win 3-2.
Well done!

Some action from our Advanced and senior boys today, with a focus on aggressively closing down the player in possession before the covering defender provides the support to stop the ball moving forward.

Some quality futsal on display from our year 8 boys at the Keilor Division Finals.
Two wins in the group stage were followed by a semi final that went to extra time before our boys scored 4 quality goals in less than 4 minutes against a tough St. Albans side.
In the final, our boys produced their best game with a comfortable win against Brookside to take out the title and qualify for the Western Metro finals in October.

We do things differently at KDC.
There is never a rush to develop key skills that expert research has shown will be required for someone to play at the highest level that their talent allows.
Crisp passing, receiving with different parts of the foot, body position smoothness and adjustment, checking behind their shoulder for information.
Our job is to help fill the gaps and refine the skill that they will always need.
