-It's not goodbye it's see you around-

It is with a heavy heart that the Keilor Downs Alumni Program is being farewelled. After four wonderful years I am incredibly grateful to everyone who was involved in the program.

The experiences you shared with KDC were invaluable. Please don’t be a stranger, your teachers love hearing from you! Seeing what every person has achieved since leaving is outstanding!

On a personal level I have loved every minute of this program. I didn’t realise how much I loved being apart of the community that was created. For that I am so thankful!

From next week the Linkedin and page will be deactivated however, the Instagram page will still run .If anyone has organized reunions or wants to share anything alumni related, I am happy to keep posting for you all just to keep the community alive!

Thank you all so much for the support and care you took, it was an absolute privilege!

As mentioned in the previous post, I always ask for a quote from each alumni that I email.

One of my favourite things about this job is the community that we have built together. Whether it be a random DM about what to post for a throwback, a session that is run, showing you all how the school has changed and reminissing about the past.

This program has taught me how to embrace the past no matter how imperfect or perfect it was. It taught me that no matter what, there is a right pathway for yourself. Finally, it has taught me how lucky I was to come to such wonderful school with nurturing teachers who had my back whether I realiesed at the time or not.

Not everybodies expereience was the same and I am so lucky to have heard your stories and expereinces.

I just wanted to say thankyou to each and everyone of you.

Our junior boys end of year match saw team Greece win the World Cup 😃
A great way to end a fantastic year.

---Throwback Thursday---

The year that is celebrated today is the year 2000. Whenever I think year 2000 I think of that Silverchair song, and Eminem asking slim shady to stand up! The olympics occured in Sydney but lets be honest Melbourne hosted the soccer!

The GST was introduced and for those who participated in year 9 presentation about "Get Started Today" that is not what it means LOL. Your family was probably driving a Ford Falcon or a Bronzey oranage Holden Commodore! Did I mention flares they were about to impact us in a rapid way. Thanks Brittany!

---Time Flies Tuesday---

The year was 2005! These pictures are defierly a vibe! Did I mention mullets, but a emo mullet. Side fringes were life and did someone metion tan in a can that made it to your hands, elbows and face. The smell of tan is in the memory bank for good.

Other cultral moments include The Australian horror film Wolf Creek was released, Nintendo DS was released, the Prayer Tops Charts: Anthony Callea's "The Prayer" was the top-selling single, and Casey Donavan won Australian Idol!
