A beautiful engagement cake from the weekend! 🤍

It will be my last weekend of baking before I take a little break to rest my RSI injury in my forearm.

This little labour of love, passion project if you will, has been such a huge part of my life for the past 8 years. The longest I’ve ever lasted in a job… being my own boss kinda works for me 😂

Oh wow, I’ve given it a nudge! I’ve diversified, sold products, run classes and thrown absolutely everything at it.

I’ve had so many beautiful customers at my doorstep, sharing special conversations on my driveway in my slippers 😂 ~ and so many of you kept coming back, over and over again.

And the invites! Oh wow. Birthday parties galore. I get invited to the opening of an envelope and I wouldn’t have it any other way 😂❤️

It’s been a creative outlet and a job that gave me the flexibility to have fun while my kids were little and still be there for all the important things ~ sports days, swimming, volunteering and watching them grow.

I’ll always cherish where Sweet As has taken me💕

But don’t worry… I’ll be back!

I’m already working on my next product range ~ something I’ve been trying to bring to life since 2018 🥂

A little Sweet As Co. update 💕

I’ve got a little announcement to make… I’m taking a short break from taking cake & cupcake orders🧁

After returning to full-time work, I’ve been juggling the demands of two very active boys, work and fulfilling orders on the side ~ and, as you can probably imagine, it’s been A LOT! 😅

And because apparently I needed a little reminder to slow down… I’ve managed to sustain a little RSI injury in my forearm. OUCH! 🙈

I’ve always had this theory that if you don’t slow down yourself, something will eventually happen to make you slow down ~ and I think this is my sign! 😂 So, for now, I’m going to listen to my body and take a little breather.

BUT don’t worry…

Sweet As Co. isn’t going anywhere! 💕

I’ll still be selling my tripods and I’ll absolutely be around at the upcoming cake shows. I also love nothing more than supporting my fellow local bakers, so if you need a cake, cupcakes or cookies while I’m taking a break, please reach out and I’m more than happy to recommend someone!
