This term, a group of Years 10-12 students interested in world politics, global issues and journalism attended the Bond University Model United Nations.

Over two days, our student delegates adopted the persona of an allocated country and represented that nation during a simulation of United Nations proceedings. This year, the focus was centred around how technological advancements could be responsibly harnessed to enhance human development, protect cultural heritage, and safeguard civilians as well as critical infrastructure. We are of their efforts!

Three of our Year 11 Legal Studies students, Jack, Conor and Tanish, proudly represented Padua as participants in the Legal Studies Youth Parliament. Held within the legislative chamber, the program gave the boys the opportunity to take on the role of parliamentarians while exploring the law-making process in Queensland through a hypothetical bill proposing to lower the voting age to sixteen. Well done, gents!
