Stage 3 Students Go Green on Excursion
Stage 3 students recently embarked on an exciting excursion to Mount Vic Flicks and Mount Victoria Public School to deepen their understanding of sustainability. Travelling by train, the students began the day with a captivating film at Mount Vic Flicks, sparking thoughtful discussions about sustainable practices. At Mount Victoria Public School, they had the opportunity to hear from key speakers who shared valuable insights on environmental stewardship and sustainable living. The experience not only broadened their knowledge but also inspired students to consider new ways to care for their world.

50 Years of Deadly!
Today we celebrated NAIDOC Week with a special assembly. This year's theme is '50 Years of Deadly'. NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Students shared our Acknowledgement of Country dance before entering the hall, a hands on, meaningful way to show our respect and connection. Thank you to our special guests who attended our assembly. It is always wonderful to hear from our young leaders from Katoomba High School.

Throughout the day, students also began a collaborative art piece titled, "Acknowledgement in Action: Our Care for Country Wall Hanging". Students collected materials from our gardens, to use in our artwork. As a school, we joined together to each create a piece as unique as we are. We can't wait to see how the artwork grows and evolves with us.

🖤💛❤️ We're ALL IN at KNPS! ❤️💛🖤

Today, our KNPS students and families came together for our annual Walkathon, embracing this year's National Reconciliation Week theme, 'All In'.

This powerful theme reminds us that reconciliation is not a spectator sport. It calls on all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day by stepping forward, taking action and continuing to build a more united future while learning from the past.

A huge thank you to our wonderful families for supporting our SRC through today's fundraiser. Every dollar raised will go directly back to providing opportunities and resources for our students.

It was a fantastic day filled with community spirit, learning and fun. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a wonderful success!

Wild Adventures: K–2 Excursion to Taronga Zoo
Our K–2 students had a fantastic day exploring Taronga Zoo! They discovered amazing animals from around the world, learned about wildlife conservation, and enjoyed interactive activities with their friends. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-life experiences, sparking curiosity and inspiring a love for nature.

Can we fix it?
Well done to the students who engaged in the Blue Mountains Innovation Summit at Springwood High School on Monday. Students heard from local council project managers; tackling problems around the community!
Students shared their ideas, collaborated to figure out solutions and improvements to local areas and designed their own inclusive fun park. Students will present their work next term. Can we fix it? At Katoomba North Public School, yes we can!
