Yesterday we welcomed our first group of trainees commencing their journey to become qualified Aboriginal Health Practitioners — and honestly… we couldn’t be more excited, proud, or pumped 🖤💛❤️

This has been a long-held dream, and seeing it come to life is something really special. These trainees are stepping into a year of learning, growth, challenge, and strength — and we can’t wait to walk alongside them every step of the way.

The future of culturally strong, community-led health care is bright, and it starts right here. 🌱

Dijan Training in Katherine in the NT is one of the Australia's newest registered training organisations, and it was such a pleasure to drop in to chat with staff about their registration and plans for the future of the organisation.

Staff at Dijan Training have been hard at work for the last three years working towards registration to help them improve lives, skill up NT communities, and create new and meaningful employment pathways that will lead to fulfilling careers.

Dijan is setting a great example in First Nations-led leadership in skills training. Thanks to everyone on the team for your kind hospitality, but more importantly for your incredible continued commitment to improving lives in the NT.

📍 Ngukurr | Growing skills in community

On the 11th and 12th November, Dijan Training delivered our first First Aid accredited training sessions in Ngukurr, supporting community members to develop vital emergency response skills.

We are proud to deliver meaningful, hands-on training on Country, strengthening the local Aboriginal Health workforce one session at a time.

📍 Barunga | First Aid Training on Country

Dijan Training has proudly delivered our first accredited training sessions in Barunga in November.

From our community, for our community — it was a privilege to support local people to build lifesaving skills on Country, in a culturally safe and practical way.
