Book Week - A Symphony of Stories

Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating Book Week. From Monday to Thursday, each room took turns to perform on a song-themed book they chose. It was wonderful to see the creativity, enthusiasm and effort of both our educators and children, and even more special to see the children enjoying.

On Friday, we came together for our Book Week Parade, with educators and children proudly wearing their favourite book-themed costumes. Walking together, hand in hand, was a beautiful way to finish the week. We were incredibly grateful to all the families who took the time to join us and support their children throughout the celebrations.

We would like to sincerely acknowledge and thank our educators and children for all the hard work, creativity and enthusiasm they put into making Book Week such a great success. We also greatly appreciate every family who supported us, whether by joining us each day or behind the scenes by helping their children choose and prepare their favourite costumes. Your support means so much to us and helps make these experiences truly special and memorable for our children.

Together, we made Book Week a joyful celebration!

We are excited to share some special moments from our two recent visits - the Barnyard Mobile Pet Zoo visit on Monday 15th June, and the Ambulance visit on Wednesday 17th June.

Our little learners showed great interest from the very beginning and actively engaged in both experiences. These visits provided valuable opportunities for children to explore, ask questions, and learn through hands-on interactions.

We are grateful to Barnyard Mobile Pet Zoo and St John Ambulance for taking the time to visit us and create such memorable learning experiences for our children. We sincerely thank them for their support and contribution to our learning program.

What a wonderful week celebrating Reconciliation Week at our centre ❤️💛🖤

The children enjoyed a special excursion at Roney Park where they explored nature and connected with the outdoors.

One of our lovely parents visited the centre to share the sounds and cultural significance of the didgeridoo, helping children learn about and appreciate First Nations culture through music and storytelling.

The children also experience outdoor sleeping this week, promoting relaxation, wellbeing, and a connection with nature.

These meaningful experiences encouraged curiosity, respect, and connection throughout the week 🍃

A big thank you to Kelly Dhaemer, Clinical Psychologist, for delivering an insightful session for our educators on Managing Emotions and Behaviour in a Childcare Setting.

Our team greatly valued the opportunity to learn practical strategies and discuss real-life scenarios to better support the social and emotional development of children in our care.

Following the presentation, we held a small celebration to recognize the dedication and hard work of our educators.

A special congratulations to Miss Sonali and Miss Smita for their outstanding efforts in creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported in their learning journey.

We also extend special recognition to Miss Chipo, who consistently goes above and beyond to support children’s learning by building strong connections with families and the wider community to ensure every child has the best possible environment to grow and thrive.

Thank you to our incredible team for your passion, commitment, and the positive difference you make every day.

Today, our children took a moment to say thank you!

We thank all who have served in the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and all service members past and present who have helped keep our country and others safe through times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping.

The children made and offered flowers and wreaths as a simple, thoughtful way to show their respect. It was a gentle and meaningful experience, helping them learn about kindness, gratitude, and caring for others.

Lest we forget.
