🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ 2026 INTERHOUSE ATHLETICS CARNIVAL 🏆

Last Friday, we held our annual Interhouse Athletics Carnival and what a fantastic day it was! ☀️

It was a busy day filled with competition, house spirit, determination and plenty of excitement as our students gave it their all across the different events.

After an action-packed day, Fortescue came out on top, taking home the Athletics Carnival Shield! 🏆💙

A huge congratulations to Fortescue and well done to all of our students who competed, supported their houses and helped make the day such a success!

🏅STUDENT SUCESS - BILSTON MEDAL WINNER! 🏅

A huge congratulations to Emerson (Yr 11), who was awarded the Bilston Medal at the NPFL Awards Ceremony!

The Bilston Medal is awarded to the Best & Fairest Under 16’s player in the Women’s Competition – an incredible achievement and wonderful recognition of Emerson’s talent, hard work and dedication.

We know how much Emerson loves her sport, especially her footy and we are so proud to see her recognised for her efforts!

A fantastic weekend for our Specialist Basketballers, 2 days of competition at the KLP in the Basketball WA North-West Cup.
The 6 St Lukes Steel teams showcased some serious talent and determination, and finished up with some great results. Many other St Luke’s students competed for their community clubs, and we are also very proud of them.
Special congratulations to our Grand-finalist Year 8 Girls and Year 8 Boys, and to our Championship-winning Year 7 Girls and 9/10 Boys.
Thank you to the staff and older students who gave up their weekends to coach, and in particular Mr Pryer for coordinating our Teams.

In week 3, our Year 10, 11 and 12 Visual Arts students visited Cossack for the annual Cossack Art Awards. Students explored the impressive collection of artworks before practicing their observational drawing skills, sketching the historic buildings and surrounding landscape.

Students also met Artist in Residence Jenna Pickering, learning about her artistic practice, before finishing the day with a hands-on mixed-media workshop led by Leanne Bray. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their skills, gain inspiration and connect with the local arts community.

📚 BOOK WEEK 2026! 📚

It’s been a busy and exciting Book Week at St Luke’s College, with our English team organising plenty of fun activities for students and staff throughout the week!

From Masked Reader, where PCGs had to guess which mystery staff member was behind the book, to Kahoot quizzes and a Harry Potter scavenger hunt around the school, there was plenty of Book Week fun to get involved in.

Tuesday was our main event, with students and staff dressing up as their favourite book characters. We saw some amazing costumes and plenty of creativity across the College! Of course, the staff dress-up competition is always fiercely contested, with Science taking home the win this year! 🏆

A huge thank you to our English team for putting together another fantastic Book Week and to all the students and staff who dressed up and joined in the fun!
