Baking and cooking with children is a wonderful way to learn through play. As they mix, pour, and measure, children build important skills such as counting, following instructions, and developing hand-eye coordination. It also helps boost their confidence, encourages teamwork, and gives them the chance to try new foods in a fun and exciting way! Give our yummy Apple Fritters a try. They were a hit with the children and adults!

On Tuesday, we were fortunate to welcome Murujuga Rangers Chloe, Jerome, Sarah and O'Shae from the Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation to Waja Guma. Our students loved learning about the animals found on Ngarluma Country and exploring the unique footprints they leave behind. We also discovered the stories and cultural meanings behind ancient rock art engravings, known as petroglyphs.

It was a wonderful morning filled with curiosity, learning, and connection. We truly appreciated the time the Rangers spent with us.

A heartfelt thank you to the Murujuga Rangers for sharing your knowledge and culture.

Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to in Week 6. Celebrating National Sorry Day, baking, and heading out on park adventures. Throughout these experiences, the children have been exploring, creating, connecting, and learning together. These opportunities have supported communication, social development, problem-solving skills, independence, and a growing sense of belonging within our learning community. We love being part of our Waja Guma family and sharing these special moments together. We would love for you to come along, connect with our community, and join us in creating meaningful learning experiences together.
