It was a cracker of weekend at the Leyburn Sprints, what a success it was. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff, parents and community members that helped out at the sprints this year. It is a great fundraiser for Karara State School.

Day 4

Our last day at Gold Coast Recreation Centre, after breakfast we had our last play on the beach at Tallebudgera Creek, and last chance to play with our friends before heading for Beaudesert for a rest stop in the way home.
We all made it home safe and sound but very tired and exhausted.
Thank you to Warwick Small Schools for inviting us to camp, we had a great time.

Day 3
Today was a beautiful day. We started the day with an another beach walk with all the small schools from Warwick. After breakfast we prepared for our busy day at the ropes course. We had morning tea of blueberry muffins, lunch was Spaghetti Bolognas. After lunch we went canoeing in Tallebudgera creek. We got to explore the mangroves and we learnt there's 3 different types. We were able to swim in the creek after canoeing and we saw a pelican. For dinner was Roast Chicken and veggies, cheesecake for dessert. After dinner we got prepared for tomorrow. It was movie night, we then ended the night with another game of spotlight. It was a very nice day of conquering heights and being out of our depth on the water. 😊

Day 2 @ Camp
It started off cool, but great. We had an early morning beach walk, then after breakfast which consisted of scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast and baked beans.
After breakfast we went to body boarding, then we had lunch which was burgers.
After lunch the weather took a turn and came in overcast and cold but this didn't deter us from having fun off to beach games. Which consisted of sandcastle building, fill the bucket with a bucket with a hole and chain of survival.
Then catapult building to play catapult cricket 🏏
Night activities they were being creative working as a team making run way outfits out of garabge bags.

Day 1 of camp
Found the boys with big smiles and lots of excitement.
Leaving Warwick at 8.30am
A break for morning tea at Beaudesert with a play in the park to stretch their legs.
Arriving to camp, finding their cabin for the week. Catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.
At dinner time there was big smiles from everyone 😊 Lasange and salad, and pudding.
To finish the day everyone had a team building challenge with marshmallows.
