🌟 Spotlight On Kindergarten: A Potion Commotion! 🌟

Kindy had a blast in the library this week with Mrs Hill! After reading “Potion Commotion” by Rebecca Grant, our young learners shared their thoughts and opinions about the story. Then, creativity took centre stage as students worked together to follow a magical recipe, with help from a fire-breathing dragon, to create their very own bubbly potion. The students were bursting with excitement as they took their wands and potion outside and blew their own dazzling bubbles. What an enchanting week of hands-on learning and fun!

🌿 Year 5 Camp Update! 🌿

Our Year 5 students are having an amazing time at Great Aussie Bush Camp! They have been busy getting involved in a range of outdoor activities, embracing new challenges, working as a team and, most importantly, having lots of fun!

Here is a little glimpse into their camp adventure so far. We’ll be sharing plenty more photos of their fun adventure soon!

Kanwal PS Debating: Round 4 Showdown!

Last Friday, both of our Kanwal teams went head-to-head in Round 4 of the Premier’s Debating Challenge. The topic was "That primary schools should start each day with a 30-minute exercise class." Our Year 6 team took the affirmative, while Year 5 argued the negative.
The debate was incredibly close; the adjudicator spent extra time considering before awarding the win to the Year 6 team. Well done to both teams for their outstanding efforts!
Congratulations to everyone involved in this year’s Premier’s Debating Challenge. This marks the end of the competition for our Year 5 team, and we can’t wait to see you back next year for the 2027 comp!
Exciting news for our Year 6 team who finished with a perfect record of four wins from four debates, earning the title of zone winners and moving on to the knockout stage. We wish them the best of luck in this highly competitive next phase!
