Year 7 2027 Parent & Carer Information Evening

Join us on Monday 30 November, from 5:00pm–6:30pm in the BHS Multipurpose Hall for an opportunity to learn more about starting Year 7 and what families can expect as students transition to high school.

The evening will include information about:

• Bomaderry High School – our vision, values and what makes BHS a great place to learn
• Starting Year 7 – orientation activities, the transition experience and what students can expect in their first year
• Teaching & Learning – curriculum, assessment, digital learning and current school initiatives
• Wellbeing, Equity & Engagement – the support available to students and how we work with families
• Our Community – meet members of our leadership and Year 7 teams and hear from our P&C about getting involved in school life
• Hear from our students about their own transition experiences

Parents, carers and students are all welcome to attend.

We look forward to meeting our new Year 7 families and helping you get ready for a successful start at BHS.

The pool will be open from Saturday, 31 October 2026, to Sunday, 28 March 2027.

Lessons will begin in Week 4 of the school term. The assessment and enrolment afternoon will be held on Tuesday, 3 November, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Lessons will commence on Wednesday, 4 November, with the final lesson for 2026 on Wednesday, 16 December. We will have 7 weeks of lessons this term, fees need to be paid on enrolment and will be $147.00 per person per Term.

Our lesson schedule remains similar as previous terms:

3:00–3:30 pm - Pre 1

Beginners who are not yet at school; we aim to use the children’s pool


3:30–4:00 pm - School 1

Beginners who are at school; held in the 25 m pool


4:00–4:30 pm - School 2

Held in the 25 m pool


4:30–5:00 pm - School 3

Held in the 25 m pool

5:00–5:30 pm - School 4 & 5

Held in the 25 m pool


6:00–6:15 pm - School 6 & 7

Held in the 25 m pool

Farewelling Mrs C 💛

This week we sadly farewell our wonderful Mrs Kate Cisneros, affectionately known to our students and families as Mrs C, as she begins an exciting new chapter in her teaching career.

Mrs C has been successful through the merit selection process in gaining a full-time permanent Preschool Teacher position at Greenwell Point Public School. This is a wonderful achievement, and we know she will embrace this opportunity with the same enthusiasm, care and dedication she has brought to Kangaroo Valley Public School.

Over the past six years, Mrs C has made an incredible contribution to our school community. She has worked across a number of roles, including School Learning Support Officer, EAL/D Teacher, Itinerant Support Teacher – Vision and Classroom Teacher. Her breadth of experience reflects her versatility as an educator and her willingness to step into whatever role was needed to support our students and school.

Our students will have so many special memories of their time with Mrs C. They have loved the pets and animals that regularly visited the school as part of her science lessons, her beautiful singing, the fun games and activities she brought to learning, and, most of all, her warm and friendly smile that made everyone feel welcome.

Throughout her time at KVPS, Mrs C has built strong and caring relationships with students, families and staff. Her kindness, patience, sense of fun and genuine commitment to children have made her a much-loved member of our school community. She has supported many students over the years and made a positive difference to their learning, confidence and wellbeing.

While we are very sad to see Mrs C leave Kangaroo Valley Public School, we are incredibly proud of her and delighted that she has secured a permanent teaching position. Greenwell Point Public School and its preschool students are very fortunate to have her joining their team.

We sincerely thank Mrs C for everything she has contributed to Kangaroo Valley Public School over the past six years and wish her every success and happiness in this exciting next chapter.

Congratulations, Mrs C — you will be greatly missed by us all! 🌟

We’re incredibly proud of our 2026 Check-in Assessment results! Across every year group, KVPS students performed above both the Statistically Similar School Group (SSSG) and the NSW State scores in Reading and Numeracy. This is a fantastic reflection of the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff and the strong learning culture across our school.

A huge congratulations to all of our students who represented KVPS at the South Coast Athletics Championships. We are incredibly proud of the way you competed and represented our school, small schools and district 💙💛

A very special congratulations to Will, who placed 2nd in the Senior Boys Discus and has now qualified for the NSW State Athletics Championships! 🥈👏
