Our Year 5 campers have arrived safely at Camp ADANAC and are already having a blast!

After a tour of the camp grounds, some morning tea and lunch, it was straight into their first round of activities.

A little bit of wet weather certainly isn’t dampening their spirits! 🌧️

There are plenty of smiles, lots of excitement and the camp adventures are officially underway.

FATHER’S DAY BREAKFAST AT GILGAI PLAINS 💙

What a beautiful way to start the day!

This morning our school was buzzing as students welcomed their dads and special father figures to Gilgai Plains for our Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast.

We love giving our students the opportunity to share these special moments at school, enjoying breakfast together, introducing their guests to friends and teachers, and having them be part of their school world for the morning.

There were plenty of pancakes, coffee, door prizes and, most importantly, lots of smiles and special moments being shared.

A big thank you to Reavey Catering for our pancake breakfast, TheirCare for providing complimentary coffee ☕ and Chemist Warehouse for generously donating some of our door prizes.

And a massive thank you to our wonderful GPPS staff who came along bright and early to celebrate alongside our students and their guests. 💙

We love these opportunities to bring our school community together and create special memories for our students.

Wishing all of our dads and special father figures a very Happy Father’s Day for Sunday! 💙

💙 A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING VOLUNTEERS! 💙

Our Father’s Day Stall was a huge couple of days, and we simply couldn’t have done it without the wonderful parents and carers who generously gave their time to help us on Monday and Tuesday.

A very big thank you to Jayde, Mashal, Annie, Lois, Aileen, Daljeet, Gurpreet, Alli, Rehab and Nadia for helping everything run so smoothly. From setting up and organising gifts to helping our students choose something special, your support was very much appreciated.

Events like our Father’s Day Stall are only possible because of the support of our school community. Our parent and carer volunteers play such an important part in helping us continue to offer these special experiences for our students.

Thank you for giving your time, lending a hand and being part of it.

We are incredibly grateful!

PANCAKE ORDERS HAVE REOPENED – TODAY ONLY!

Missed the cut-off for our Father’s Day Breakfast pancakes? Reavey Catering has kindly reopened ordering through Flexischools until 12:00pm MIDDAY TODAY!

⏰ Orders close strictly at 12:00pm today, Wednesday the 2nd of September. After this time, no further orders can be accepted.

If you were hoping to join us for pancakes on Friday morning, make sure you get your order in!

We have a couple of special events coming up to celebrate the wonderful dads, grandads and father figures in our students’ lives:

Monday the 31st of August & Tuesday the 1st of September

🥞☕ Father’s Day Breakfast
Friday the 4th of September from 7:30am to 8:45am
Don’t forget, pancake orders close at 12pm on Tuesday the 1st of September!

What an AMAZING morning at Gilgai Plains! Our students came dressed as their favourite book characters, and the creativity on display was incredible. From much-loved classics to newer favourites, there were so many brilliant costumes parading through the gym.

We also have to give a special shout-out to the very talented parents and carers behind some of these ensembles, the imagination, creativity and effort that went into them was next level!

And then there were our staff…

This year, the Gilgai Plains team transformed into 101 Dalmatians, complete with a sea of spots and our very own Principal, Anthea, taking centre stage as Cruella de Vil. We have to say, she pulled off both the costume and the attitude a little too well! 🖤🤍🐾

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Book Character Parade such a fun and memorable celebration of Book Week. We absolutely loved seeing our school filled with characters, colour and a whole lot of creativity!
