Telethon Bake Sale!

Congratulations to Ella and her team on another hugely successful Telethon fundraiser on Tuesday!
We are so proud of how you coordinated this event to support such an incredible cause.
Thank you so much to all Year 5 families for bringing in the food and thank you everyone for the donations, we couldn’t do it without you all! An amazing $720 was raised from the bake sale alone, bringing our current total to over $1500 and climbing!

Two of our 'Nature Ninjas' showing off their vests at our Pastoral Care Assembly this morning. Nature Ninjas play an important role in sustainability at KPS! From recycling, to collecting veggie scraps for our worms and chooks, they take their jobs very seriously! (With help from one of our amazing ECE teachers Mrs Fernando!)🥰

What an amazing Book Week we are having! It started off with a visit from author Sean E Avery who had students very engaged! Thank you Mrs Ajduk for organising this incursion. The annual dress up parade was a hit as always (special shout out to the fantastic home-made costumes - thank you mums and dads) and of course some of our lucky students love reading to our Story Dog Rosie every week (with the help of Andrew😀!)
The question is, do you think we ask parents to dress up for the parade next year???

To celebrate NAIDOC Week, we invited every class to participate in a whole-school Classroom Door Challenge! This year, we are recognizing the 2026 NAIDOC Week theme, "50 Years of Deadly."

Each class transformed their classroom door into a vibrant display that reflects this year's theme, celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and achievements.

Once all doors were complete, every class had the opportunity to vote for the classroom door that best reflected the theme through creativity and cultural respect.

Our First Bush Walk!

PrePrimary had a wonderful time on our first bush walk! We loved spotting beautiful wildflowers, listening carefully for birds and discovering the growth rings in the trees. We also had a thoughtful chat about rubbish and items that had been dumped in the bush and why they don’t belong in our natural environment.

We had so much fun exploring and making discoveries together—we can’t wait for our next bush walk!

This term, a group of Year 5 and 6 students have been developing their STEM and problem-solving skills through our weekly Robotics Club. Held once a week during lunchtime, students have been working collaboratively to build their LEGO® SPIKE™ robots while learning about engineering and design.

With their robots now complete, students have now begun the exciting next stage next week—developing their coding skills to bring their creations to life! We look forward to seeing their creativity, teamwork and perseverance as they explore the world of robotics and programming.

This term in Kindergarten, we have been learning all about our community. Last week, we used Google Earth to explore Kalamunda and discover some of the important places in our local community, including the shops, library, fire station and, of course, our school.
We then brought our learning to life by using all the blocks in our block corner to create our very own Kalamunda! The Kindy children also made their own houses using paper bags and a variety of creative materials to add to our community.
It was wonderful to see the children use their imagination and creativity as they worked together to build and create their own version of Kalamunda. We are so proud of their amazing ideas and the way they brought our community to life!

PLANNING IS IN FULL SWING FOR OUR SCHOOL FETE ON SATURDAY 24 OCTOBER!

Parents - we need your help to make it all happen. Each year group will have a stall that will be powered by parents. We need a team leader and 4 helpers per year group to ensure the day runs smoothly.
If your year has more parents that want to put their hand up - even better!

We love our annual visit to Karingal Green! Our students get to perform for the residents and then participate in craft activities together. It is such a lovely atmosphere seeing different generations interacting so beautifully.
