Apple Blossom Family Day Care is a small home based child care group I hold at my Kadina home. It is open 9am-4pm , Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday


It is an eco friendly program and the play based curriculum is centered around spending lots of time outdoors. Indoors I like to bring nature with us. Our toys and equipment are carefully chosen to be beautiful and open ended (able to have m

ore than one use so children can use their imaginations) and made of natural materials where possible. Children have opportunities to bake, draw, paint, create, plant and tend to our vegetable garden, feed and collect eggs from our chickens daily, go on walks and outings around our neighborhood and town and more. Qualifications-
Certificate 3 in children's service
Senior 1st Aid
CPR (updated annually)
police check

I am limited by government standards to 4 children at once which is a nice sized group that allows children to get to know me and the children in their group well. Government child care benefit and rebate are available

For a very long time I've been thinking of a new name for our daycare.
Lately I've been doing a revamp of our sandpit area, tidying, culling and re oiling the wooden parts. As I got ready to re write the Sandpit cafe sign I had a thought. The kitchen is the heart of the home- and our sandpit cafe is very much the heart of our daycare.
The sandpit is the central play space , right next to our cozy outdoor couch where we read our stories . The children run off to ride bikes, run and play but they always come back to sit in the cool sand, dig and relax. They make all manner of delicious sandy treats for sharing and enjoying. These particular spots can only be filled by a family needing care for work purposes or exceptional circumstances (this may be medical reasons or vulnerabe child etc.) all my regular spots are filled but I can apply to have one additional child per day over my 1:4 ratio if someone meets the criteria and has been unable to source care locally

The days available will be 9am-2.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday for children aged 2-5 years
