Kadina Memorial School's SACE results 2022

Kadina Memorial School achieved an outstanding 68 A-minus and above grades in this year’s SACE results, with one Merit.

Congratulations to Year 12 Dux – Southwood Medalist Alexa Mill who achieved an impressive raw Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking of 95.6, with Connor Guerrero as Runner Up Dux, achieving a raw score of 92.7.
Closely followed by Mackenzee MacCauley, achieving a raw ATAR of 90.95.

In total there were eight A+ results, Congratulations to:
• A+ with a Merit = Charlee Hunter for Research Project (Teacher Ms Erin Schneider)
• A+ Jack Atkinson for Creative Arts (Teacher Mrs Jacq Barry)
• A+ Emily Koch for Visual Arts (Teacher Ms Karen George)
• A+ Vaughan Stonestreet for Music Solo (Teacher Mr Sandy Hahn)
• A+ Matilda Cox for Research Project (Teacher Ms Erin Schneider
• A+ Sam Pearce for Research Project (Teacher Mr Glen Williams)
• A+ Kade Herbert for AFL (Teachers Mr Patrick Keane and Mr Nick Hewett)
• A+ Connor Guerrero for Physics (Teacher Mr Stephen Nelson)

Of the 74 SACE completers, there were an additional eight students who achieved an ATAR in the mid to high 80’s, and 66.7% of grades were in the A and B grade band.

The results show the many pathway choices open to school leavers, with half seeking an ATAR to study at tertiary level, whilst the majority of those who did not opt for an ATAR have secured traineeships, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities.
With that in mind, I also want to take the opportunity to remind students of something I believe is very important to consider. The achievements resulted today don't reflect or measure your self worth, they aren't definitive of who you are or the goodness that lies within you. They don't describe your potential or your capacity to achieve amazing things. You have worked hard and done your best. This is everything you can ask of yourself. Congratulations and best wishes to you as you start the next chapter of your life.

Finally, I would sincerely like to acknowledge the solid work undertaken, not only by the students, but their families, the Kadina Memorial School Teachers and School Service Officers throughout the year.

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and wonderful holiday break.

See you in 2023!

Verity Williams, Head of Senior School
